The Gov&#8217;t of Canada is more that fair with the payouts.\u00a0 The chiefs get filthy rich while the people live in abstract poverty.\u00a0 When will it end , when the gov&#8217;t smartens up and gives the money directly to the individual families and not the chiefs and then no one can say any different if it doesn&#8217;t stop<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This is true and will make your blood boil<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Remember Tudeau removed the audit policy !<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100%\"><strong>The city of Thompson, Manitoba with 13,446 residents pay their mayor, deputy<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>mayor and council members at total of $80,474.45 annually for taxable<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>salaries and per diems (the mayor&#8217;s annual indemnity is $29,745.45 per<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>annum, council members are paid $9,915.15 per annum and the deputy mayor<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>gets $11,068.40 per annum).<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Brokenhead Ojibway Nation with a registered population of 1,918 paying their<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>FN chief and band council members a total of $415,357 in TAX-FREE salaries<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>AND per diems plus $1,557,766 in tobacco and fuel tax rebates.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Long Plains First Nation @ Portage La Prairie with a registered population<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>of 813 paying their FN chief and band council members a total of $539,918 in<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>tax-free salaries and per diems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Little Grand Rapids First Nation with a registered population of 1,590<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>paying their FN chief and band council members a total of $706,182 in<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>tax-free salaries and per diems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Buffalo Point First Nation with a registered population of 126 paying their<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>FN chief and band council members a total of $300,000 in tax-free salaries<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>and per diems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Shoal Lake No. 40 First Nation in Ontario with a registered on-reserve<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>population of 293 people paid their FN chief and band council $267,799 in<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>tax-free salaries never mind $58,930 in tax-free expenses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Mathias Colomb First Nation with a registered population of 3,192 paying<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>their FN chief and band council members a total of $601,726 in tax-free<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>salaries and per diems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Samson Cree First Nation with a registered population of 8,059 paying their<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>FN chief and band council members a total of $2,149,998 in tax-free salaries<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>and per diems ($266.78 per capita).<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Fort McKay First Nation with a registered population of 827 (It\u2019s not a<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>typo, it\u2019s 827) paying their FN chief and band council members a total of<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>$2,067,098 in tax-free salaries and per diems, never mind $151,428 in travel<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>expenses ($2,499.51 per capita). Chief Jim Boucher was paid an annual<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>tax-free salary of $644,441 tax-free ($53,703 per month), AND tax-free<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>expenses of $35,359 ($2,947 per month), AND tax-free other remuneration<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>$25,000 ($2,083 per month) AND tax-free travel expenses of $60,157 ($5,013<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>per month)!!!!!
