I will reduce Canada\u2019s immigration target from 350,000 a year to 150,000 a year, which will put us near the average for developed countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am the only leadership candidate who has pledged to lower immigration levels. My opponents are happy with the status quo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We absolutely must offer Canadians a real, clear difference in policies from what the Liberals are already doing. Canadian voters aren\u2019t going to support a \u201cLiberal Lite\u201d version of what Trudeau already gives them, but they will elect someone who\u2019s different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am the only CPC leadership candidate who can beat Trudeau, because I\u2019m the only candidate who offers this difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our respective stances on the issue of immigration provide a great example of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, I will rescind Canada\u2019s signature of the UN Migration Compact, and I\u2019ll secure our borders by reforming our system to make it easier to turn away false refugee claimants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My plan is based on reality, not feelings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canadian voters are ready for a new approach to immigration. A May 2019 Leger poll showed that 63% of us said that the government should prioritize limiting immigration numbers because Canada is reaching a limit in its ability to integrate them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was before COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canadian voters desperately want<\/u> an alternative to Team Trudeau\u2019s policies, but if our party elects a leader who can offer nothing but \u201cLiberal Lite\u201d, we\u2019ll be soundly rejected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am the only leadership candidate who offers a genuine <\/strong>policy <\/strong>difference from those of the Liberals<\/strong> on<\/strong> immigration, refugees, and a host of other issues.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That makes me the only candidate capable of defeating Justin Trudeau, and that\u2019s why I\u2019m the candidate you should make your #1 choice on the ballot!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
