How can the Conservatives, Liberals, NDP, Greens and Bloc Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois claim to believe\u00a0in man-caused climate change – much less support remedies\u00a0for it – when they ALL continue to support\u00a0mass immigration?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the Conservative Party of Canada supports the classical liberal notion of free trade along with mass immigration and official multiculturalism – then what exactly are they\u201cconserving\u201d? This question is now even more timely and relevant as Erin O\u2019Toole apparently\u00a0opposes social conservatism in all of its forms.How can they claim to be \u201cconservative\u201dwhen they support liberalized trade, immigration\u00a0and social policies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The People\u2019s Party of Canada at least offers a home for social conservatives, supporters of free speech and those who wish to preserve\u00a0Canada\u2019s current ethnocultural character by way of immigration reductionism as well as an end to official multiculturalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the PPC still supports free trade,deregulation, outsourcing, offshoring and\u00a0supply side economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A true Conservative political party in the historic High Tory MacDonald to Diefenbaker tradition\u00a0would support a highly restrictive and reductionist citizenship & immigration policy,assimilation over multiculturalism, economic\u00a0nationalism and trade protectionism. It would also not demonize social conservatives nor restrict freedom of expression. It would seek to unapologetically preserve the Monarchy,appointed Senate, and our Christian\u00a0European heritage.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my opinion, O\u2019Toole AND Bernier\u00a0are completely divorced from the Canadian\u00a0High Tory tradition a la MacDonald to Diefenbaker. BOTH offer half bakedversions of the real thing.
Thatcherism and Reaganism – which most aspiring Canadian Conservative leaders\u00a0(including O\u2019Toole & Bernier) have sought to emulate – in whole or part – over the past\u00a040 years – are in reality repackaged 19th century British Liberalism (Gladstonian liberalism)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
