{"id":4200,"date":"2025-07-12T05:31:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T05:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadafirst.nfshost.com\/?p=4200"},"modified":"2025-07-12T05:51:47","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T05:51:47","slug":"peoples-party-was-right-about-mass-immigrations-effects-on-housing-costs-unemployment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadafirst.nfshost.com\/?p=4200","title":{"rendered":"People&#8217;s Party Was Right About Mass Immigration&#8217;s Effects on Housing Costs &#038; Unemployment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecp.yusercontent.com\/mail?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.nationbuilder.com%2Fmaximebernier%2Fmailings%2F7563%2Fattachments%2Foriginal%2FH_PurpleLetter_ENG800px.jpg%3F1719164492&amp;t=1752297913&amp;ymreqid=9261adee-8f4e-ba02-1c77-9d002701df00&amp;sig=ioztIgAoDiFPBjNE2xPq3Q--~D\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two studies appeared this week with results that shouldn\u2019t surprise anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>They proved once again that the People\u2019s Party was right about the negative impact of mass immigration \u2013 years before everybody!<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), immigration caps are contributing to lower asking rents in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecp.yusercontent.com\/mail?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.nationbuilder.com%2Fmaximebernier%2Fmailings%2F12419%2Fattachments%2Foriginal%2FGvbONMsXsAAZPs4_image1.jpg%3F1752163363&amp;t=1752297913&amp;ymreqid=9261adee-8f4e-ba02-1c77-9d002701df00&amp;sig=UptLA6x0C2ATSwqRaTU.gg--~D\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you have millions of people coming to Canada who need housing, and demand for housing greatly exceeds the number of new houses and apartments that are built, prices and rents inevitably go up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when immigration levels go down, prices and rents will be lower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is just economics 101 of course!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>But when I started saying this in 2018 after launching the PPC, all the woke commentators and journalists in the mainstream media said this was racist and far right!<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another study by the Conference Board of Canada concludes that wages are set to increase in Canada as immigration slows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecp.yusercontent.com\/mail?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.nationbuilder.com%2Fmaximebernier%2Fmailings%2F12419%2Fattachments%2Foriginal%2FGvbONMsXsAAZPs4_image2.jpg%3F1752163384&amp;t=1752297913&amp;ymreqid=9261adee-8f4e-ba02-1c77-9d002701df00&amp;sig=_VDuE1FDazXSVHnfZmKp1Q--~D\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Duh!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, if you import cheap labour from abroad, wages will be depressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when you import less of it, employers will be forced to offer higher pay to attract Canadian workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s crazy that this was seen as controversial by the whole political and media establishment until not long ago!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We criticize the government\u2019s destructive policies and offer the best solutions, whether they are politically correct or not.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wouldn\u2019t Canadian politics be more rational if the PPC had more influence?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two studies appeared this week with results that shouldn\u2019t surprise anyone.
