Why do they not treat us like human beings?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juma had been legally in the country for a decade when he was targeted by March &amp; March, an anti-immigrant group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/marchandmarch.org.za\/about\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">group<\/a>&nbsp;calls itself a \u201cgrassroots citizen movement,\u201d saying they are \u201caddressing growing concerns about undocumented immigration in South Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat began as conversations among communities affected by issues related to illegal immigration, employment competition, and access to public services, evolved into an organized advocacy movement,\u201d its website added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wall Street Journal said they have called for immigration enforcement and economic opportunities for South African natives who are citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite South African President Cyril Ramaphosa\u2019s assurances of safety for immigrants, the aforementioned Ghana, Mozambique, and Malawi have sent transportation to the country to repatriate their nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the 1,800 Ghanaians and Nigerians who recently went home, more than 75 percent of Ghanaians were on overstayed visas, and 854 Nigerians had entered the country illegally. A majority of the over 1,000 Mozambicans repatriated were illegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malawi is also working to return its 10,000 nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re a leftist, who is in the wrong?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, why isn\u2019t this development making headlines across every major media outlet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/nigeria-south-africa-antimigrant-violence-5448f808e7830b254de8c70038c08af7\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Associated Press<\/a>&nbsp;reported two Nigerians died on June 28 during protests. A second&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/south-africa-illegal-immigration-protests-deadline-0ba4b5c3e797e0ac018f9e3f06101c34\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a>&nbsp;from the outlet noted these are the largest anti-immigration protests the country has seen since 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/ghana-delays-visit-by-south-african-president-amid-row-over-anti-migrant-protests\/ar-AA27pLRv?ocid=BingNewsVerp\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BBC<\/a>&nbsp;reported that Ghana, upset about repatriations, postponed Ramaphosa\u2019s visit to the country, citing \u201cxenophobia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certainly, one can find these stories, but for as big of an issue as illegal immigration has become in the news cycle, it shouldn\u2019t be necessary to go searching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The left goes ballistic over President Donald Trump deporting illegal immigrants. It would be consistent to denounce black South Africans here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is there a lack of concern because of a lack of a racial divide? This is black-on-black violence. The narrative we\u2019re constantly told is that white supremacy is the real threat.
