Brain Surgery: A Satire  by Tim Murray 

When I inquired about my prospects of surviving open heart surgery, a credible informant assured me that surgeons would execute a cutting-edge, less invasive operation, resulting in a quicker recovery.

When I asked if these surgeons were “up to scratch” and competent to perform it, I was told that they were “out of this world”. It turns out that this informant was right.

I have little recollection of the procedure, other than a vague memory of four sets of sinister eyes looming over me, examining me with intense scrutiny. One of them bore a resemblance to Barbara Lerner Spectre. The only thing I distinctly remember is being in my car, my radio and engine going dead, and seeing a bright, blinding figure walk toward me. Shortly thereafter I blacked out.  Then suddenly  I found myself in the driver’s seat in the same position. It is as if I had been dreaming.


Maybe I was dreaming. Maybe it was an hallucination.  Just like The Great Replacement, which Leftist  commentators tell me is a mirage, a figment of my conspiratorial imagination. Vancouver hasn’t changed. It is not an Asian city. And Europe is still Europe. You see, we mustn’t believe our own eyes. Best to rely on the filtered information of trusted media gatekeepers, like the CBC, who proclaim that “Canada Lives Here”.  I guess they haven’t seen the ratings lately.

So yes, maybe it didn’t happen.  But I think not. Before the operation, I felt like crap. Afterward, I suddenly felt like a million dollars.

I am as good as new now, but there is this small lump under my skin above my left temple. Sometimes it prickles. Sometimes it itches. When I pinch it, it feels a dime or a nickel. Hmm. No wonder an alarm goes off whenever I go through an airport security check.

The good news is I didn’t have to pay one red cent for the operation. That goes to show you how beneficial Canada’s socialized medical system is.  And efficient too. I was in and out before I knew it.

And that’s not all. I am not only getting timely care, but compassionate and conscientious care too.

Like old time country doctors, these surgeons make impromptu home visits to check on my progress. They drop by without notice at the oddest times, and when they leave it seems that they take me with them. Then faster that you can say Jack Robinson, here I am back in my easy chair again. But when I look at my watch, several hours have passed.  I guess that proves that time flies when you are having fun.

As far as I can determine, I have experienced no side effects from my surgery, other than that nagging sensation I mentioned. The prickling and itching above my left temple.

However, I am left with a strange feeling. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Simply put, it is a feeling that Big Brother is watching me. Then I wondered.

Does CSIS have me on their watch list? Is the Canadian Anti-Hate Network monitoring me?  Is a Toronto Star reporter trying to get the goods on me? Am I being stalked by Glenn Close? No matter where I go, I get that same feeling.

Self help guru Wayne Dyer told me that I should take charge of my life, but more than ever, that goal eludes me. Maybe I’m paranoid, but I sense that I am being guided. Controlled in fact. Whenever I watch the news—or read it—-I feel that something is missing. Like the news. The real news.

And the more I listen to progressive politicians and the identity group mouthpieces who drive them, the more my vocabulary shrinks.  I’ve noticed that more and more, I can’t find the words to conceive of alternative narratives. Sometimes the only words that come to mind are “diversity”, “inclusive”, “patriarchal”, “white privilege”, “white supremacist”, “transphobic”, and “welcoming”. And when I try to form sentences, the only thing that comes out of my mouth is “love conquers hate”, “diversity is our strength”, “build bridges not fences”, “we are more alike than unalike”, “biology is a social construct”, “Canada is home to the world”, “Canada is a nation of immigrants”,  “we are all immigrants”, “we are living on stolen land”, “the only real Canadians are First Nations people”, and “a woman must always be believed.”  Stuff like that.

However, several forbidden questions managed to break these mental shackles and enter my brain.

Did I have heart surgery–or brain surgery? Was the first a cover for the latter? What if I am a victim of social engineering?  What if the social engineers are manipulated by puppeteers—an alien tribe bent on opening the floodgates and diversifying us out of existence? And if that is so, how can we determine who these puppeteers are?

Then came the epiphany: Just find out who it is illegal to criticize.


Here’s a tip. When you find that out, don’t share the information, or you’re liable to find yourself behind bars and financially ruined.  Right here in Canada, true north, strong and “free”.

A reason for focusing on the third volume is that “it challenges many fundamental assumptions about our contemporary intellectual and political existence,” as is said on the first page of the “Preface to the First Paperback Edition,” and it is our contemporary existence that is most people’s immediate concern, even if the roots of the present must be found thousands of years ago.


Numbers on the left are page numbers. All quotations are MacDonald’s own words, except where indicated otherwise. Anything not in quotation marks is my own notes based on my reading of the text. Any errors of fact or interpretation, of course, are solely my own.


I am leaving the “Preface to the First Paperback Edition” until the end, since chronologically and otherwise it is basically an expansion of what is said in the main text.

Mirror Mirror On The Wall, Which Is The Most Inclusive Political Party Of Them All?

Finally it’s official. The dynamic deputy leader of the Ontario NDP, Jagmeet Singh, has formally thrown his “hat” into the ring of the federal NDP leadership contest. His mission: to build a Canada where “nobody should be made to feel that they don’t belong.”

Singh’s announcement lends credence to the impression that the NDP is determined to win the “who is the most inclusive” derby. Sikhs, Muslims, First Nations, and the LGTBQ community are all to be prominently featured in the shop window. Every identity group must be appeased. Every group that is, except the White working class, which as we all know from watching the CBC, is inherently racist, xenophobic, parochial and ignorant. We only keep them around because, well, somebody has to pay the taxes.

Electing a Sikh to lead the federal party would come with a cost I would think. Most New Democrats would be electrified but some would not. I mean, in a pluralistic society, you can’t please everyone, can you? The dream candidate would be a transgender aboriginal who has converted to Islam, but then that would make Blacks and Punjabis feel marginalized. How about a transgender Black Muslim with a Sikh partner? But that would leave out First Nations. OK, then how about a gender-fluid Black aboriginal hybrid Sikh who celebrates Ramadan? No? Let’s see what party strategists can come up with.

It is obvious that as our society continues to unravel according to the Frankfurt School plan, and the pace of cultural fragmentation picks up speed, recruitment of diverse atomized individuals across the full spectrum of contrived identities will become increasingly challenging. How does a political party represent each one of 624 emerging identities when they are only 338 seats in the House of Commons? It can’t.

The only recourse is for our inclusive parties to exclude dozens of victim groups, each clamouring for attention. Perhaps they can put their heads together and agree to carve up the pie so that no grievance group will be left out. Much like Chicago mob bosses carved up the city’s drug trade.

In that case, we shall need electoral reform so that 30 different parties can win seats, and a grand coalition of 15 of them can form the government. This means that another 102 cabinet posts would need to be created to ensure that every ethnic/gender/religious faction can joust for attention at the very summit of our democracy. NHL referees would be called in to control the fracas. Or UN peace keepers. Since Diversity Is Our Strength, and there is Unity in Diversity, I am sure that they would work things out and come to a peaceful consensus. Just because ‘diversity’ is a spectacular failure across the globe is no reason to believe that it can’t work here. We are Canadians after all. We are exceptional. Even the Law of Gravity doesn’t apply to us.

But the institution of proportional representation will not suffice. Canada is a nation of regional as well as ethnic, gender and linguistic differences. Where you live can determine how you view the country. A Vancouverite and a Torontonian often see things quite differently. So it should be apparent that to reach the right decisions, any effective national lawmaking assembly must include ethnic, religious and gender axe-grinders from every corner of the nation.

It is important, for example, that Albertan transgender immigrant women of colour be represented in Ottawa. We can’t have the transgender immigrant women of colour in Ontario hogging the mic. Non-White Western trannies have a unique perspective that deserves a hearing too. They bring something to the table that Eastern queers can’t. Ditto for aboriginal Muslims in northern Quebec. Their voice must not be appropriated by First Nations jihadists out West. And of course, Sunnis and Shiites must be represented in numbers proportional to their presence in the community. I think a Triple E Senate is the answer.

Try as we might to find a formula for total inclusion, however, we must admit that we will fall short of the ideal arrangement. It’s a fact of life. Some Canadians will be left out. Some will have to content themselves with being seen and not heard. There is simply not enough room in the legislatures and town council rooms for all of us. Not for all splinter groups, who are busy splintering away from themselves as we speak. The tent can only grow so wide.

Regrettably therefore, if only in the interests of economy, we must continue to leave the White working class on the outside looking in. In that regard, the NDP can show us how that can be done. They have had five decades of experience in excluding the very people whom they claim to speak for, and I think it is high time that we yielded to their expertise. The Progressive Movement

The progressives are people of different political stripes (but mainly neo-liberals and Marxists) who share a common goal: To replace Christian society and the free market with a Marxist, 60-gender plus amoral society ruled by politically correct bureaucrats.

The progressive movement, also called “cultural Marxism,” grew out of the efforts of a few Marxist academics at Germany’s Frankfurt School in the 1920s. The men later fled Germany during WWII and set up shop at Columbia University in the U.S. They abhorred the social restrictions imposed upon them by Christian morality, and they also equally hated capitalism and the free market because Karl Marx said that those were bad. The Frankfurt academics believed that traditional society needed to be “burned to the ground” so that the phoenix of a perfect Utopia would rise from the ashes.

The movement became known as “progressivism.” It has been widely promulgated by university professors since the 1930s. In 1942, the federal Conservative Party changed its named to “Progressive Conservative Party” to reflect the fact that it had adopted progressive ideals. Later the conservatives dropped the word “progressive” to emphasize their adherence to budget cuts and lower taxes, but hardly to question the progressive social agenda of the other parties. Today, progressivism is promoted not only by academics, but by left-leaning think tanks and mainstream politicians from all parties.

How Have They Attempted to Achieve Their Goals?

The methods that progressives have used to accomplish their goals of societal transformation have evolved over time. Today they include:

  • Political correctness: With political correctness, it becomes taboo to speak against society’s traditional taboos. Ironic isn’t it? The goal is to remove speech as a tool that can be used to defend culture and values. When a man does speak-up, then the state’s Anti-Human Rights Commissions come calling with the intent to shut the man up, to fine him, or to put him in prison.
  • Attack on Christianity: The progressives are relentless with their attacks against Christianity because of its myriad prohibitions against moral and sexual degeneracy. For example, they call traditional Christian culture a “rape culture” purely as a means of discrediting and demeaning Christianity.
  • Attack on the family: Progressives are known to call parents “dangerous.” They routinely attack motherhood and fatherhood. The reason is that they know that parents are the first line of defence in protecting children. They need to discredit parents so that they can take their place for the purposes of education and indoctrination.
  • Discrimination against Anglo-Saxons: One way to burn society to the ground is to make the majority of its citizens no longer believe in their own worth. Hence, the progressives use the false meme of “privilege” and the old history of slavery to devalue and degrade us.
  • Promoting mass immigration: Progressives are well aware that mass immigration can be used to wipe out traditional Anglo-Saxon Christian society. This is why hundreds of thousands of foreigners are being allowed to flood across Canada’s borders each year. They call it “multiculturalism.”
  • Attack on capitalism and the free market: At their core, the progressives are Marxists and believe that an economy run by a few academic elites from the top-down is the best way to manage resources. They don’t believe in property rights because such rights stand in the way of the central distribution of resources (i.e., your wealth). They adamantly believe in “each according to his need and each according to his ability,” even though such philosophy has resulted in economic and societal collapse wherever it has been tried.

How Do We Fight It?

Progressives shroud their evil deeds with Orwellian Doublespeak. Racist terms like “privilege,” “diversity” and “inclusiveness” simply mask the progressive’s real intent to destroy our traditional culture, values and prosperity. The best way to fight them is to expose what they are really saying. When they announce a “diversity” program, call them racist. When they sexualize young children with their debauched sex-ed programs, call them sick degenerates. When they shout “privilege,” call them xenophobes.

Do what this German politician from the anti-establishment party AfD did when the bureaucrats wanted to pass a law recognizing 60 different genders: He ridiculed them and rejected them:

Progressives are dangerous. Their ideology threatens the very survival of humanity. We, therefore, cannot shrink from their threat. Instead, we must attack them with all of our might. Truth and morality are behind us. We must win!
