It looks as if the incoming government of Donald Trump is serious about rounding up and deporting at least some of the 10-million plus illegals in the U.S. This encouraging prospect is motivating people in Canada.
On November 9, about a dozen study black clad men held a “Mass Deportations Now” sign right in the heart of Hamilton, Ontario outside the Jackson Square Shopping Centre.
the result was a collective freak out by some of the city’s leftist politicians.
According to the Hamilton Spectator (November 11, 2024), Hamilton Centre NDP MP Matthew Green was apoplectic: ““This demonstration, filled with dangerous rhetoric, seeks to undermine the very principles of compassion, diversity, and unity that define Hamilton. Calling for mass deportations and targeting individuals based on ethnicity or nationality is not just divisive; it is a blatant attempt to strip away rights and freedoms.” Perhaps, Green who is black is reading challenged. The Banner says nothing about race or ethnicity. It refers, presumably, to illegals.
‘Indian import “Ward 3 Coun. Nrinder Nann stated: “This is Hamilton, and we will NOT tolerate racist, white nationalism.” So, native Indians and Blacks can promote their own but Whites cannot promote their own interests or oppose their replacement by current immigration policies.
Hamilton’s NDP socialist “Mayor Andrea Horwath said: “There is no space for hate or discrimination of any kind in our city.” The banner doesn’t mention hating anyone and would seem to want to discriminate between those who are legally in this country and those who aren’t

Canadian public health authorities didn’t have to let the Wuhan Institute of Virology infiltrate and co-opt our country’s highest-security biolab. The warning signs had been there for years, and no one to our knowledge was holding a gun to the heads of the rubber-stampers who authorized a security-threat-flagged scientist’s shipment of live Ebola back to the motherland.
That’s part of why the latest report from the House of Commons committee on China, released Tuesday (conveniently, on the day of the American presidential election), is such a puzzling read. Though a lot of the information contained within has previously trickled into public knowledge, through reporting, committee hearings and released records, the Commons committee’s synthesis shows how Canadian authorities reacted with the haste of a slug — and continue to leave gaping holes in the security of research that can literally be weaponized against human health.
The report sets out a comedy of errors that preceded the 2019 expulsion of scientists Dr. Xiangguo Qiu and Keding Cheng, both Canadian citizens from China working at the Winnipeg National Microbiology Lab, who were ousted for “administrative” reasons.
The husband-wife pair was hired back in 2003 and 2006, respectively, but a decade later began showing suspicious links to Chinese research programs. In 2012, wife Qiu began collaborating with a Chinese military virologist specializing in “bio-defence and bio-terrorism.”
.
In 2016, she was nominated by a Chinese military official for an “International Cooperation Award,” which nodded to her work with the military bioweapons expert and stated that she “used Canada’s Level 4 Biosecurity Laboratory as a base to assist China to improve its capability to fight highly pathogenic pathogens … and achieved brilliant results.” She published a paper with military-linked colleagues sometime afterward, and became a visiting professor at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences working on infectious disease — a position that she left out of her English CV.
In 2017, PHAC greenlit Qiu to travel to Beijing for a conference — but from there, unbeknownst to PHAC, she travelled to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to present on Ebola vaccines. Later that year, PHAC approved Qiu to train others at the Wuhan lab. Around this time or later, via the Wuhan lab, she applied for the Chinese government’s Thousand Talents Program which incentivizes members to clandestinely send overseas research back to China.
After Qiu signed up, the suspicious activity accelerated. In February 2018, she brought over an employee from the Wuhan lab to join her at the Winnipeg lab. In April, she returned to China to “visit family,” with travel expenses paid for by a Chinese biotech firm. In May, Cheung received protein samples from China labelled “kitchen utensils.”
In April 2018, Qiu and Cheung were finally flagged as possible insider threats after CSIS briefed PHAC on foreign interference.
The warning made its way up the chain at a snail’s pace: PHAC’s national security found a suspicious Chinese patent including Qiu in September; the PHAC president was briefed in December, and ordered a private firm to investigate. The private firm tasked with the job concluded in March 2019 that more investigations were needed (duh). PHAC leadership contemplated an internal investigation and finally called the RCMP in May. CSIS began investigations in June.
In July, the scientists were finally kicked out of the lab.
During the entire time that authorities were groggily waking up to the idea that these top scientists might be working as agents for a foreign government, the scientists accelerated their pace. Qiu flew back to the Wuhan lab — with PHAC’s approval — where she was now a “visiting research scientist.” Qiu’s staff recruit from Wuhun was caught trying to sneak tubes out of the Winnipeg lab. The Winnipeg security began noticing a suspicious number of visitors walking around the lab unattended. Cheng tried to enter the lab with another employee’s passcode. Qiu shipped a live sample of Ebola back to the Wuhan lab — again, with PHAC’s approval.
The final stages of a fatal Ebola infection (that is, about half of all Ebola infections) involve profusely bleeding from one’s eyes, nose, mouth and rectum. It’s absolutely not the kind of virus you want getting into the wrong hands, say, those of an unfriendly government whose modified virus experiments have been “credibly suggested” to have escaped from its labs.
Nevertheless, it was only after the scientists’ exile that a CSIS investigation determined that their continued presence at the Winnipeg lab would pose a national security threat. They were formally fired in 2021, and have since disappeared to who knows where — yes, they were permitted to leave the country after the debacle.
The entire period of infiltration was lined with an attitude of nonchalance by government officials who appeared at the China committee. The Winnipeg lab director at the time defended the lab’s slow response by stating that neither CSIS nor PHAC advised him to kick the scientists out; he handwaved approving the Ebola-by-mail. The PHAC president justified the long timeline with the thoroughness of the investigation.
Only former CSIS director Richard Fadden was the voice of reason: “too long,” was his assessment of the kicking-out.
On the health and research side, the passive attitude seems to go all the way up to the top. Security-wise, Canada brought in a new research policy in January 2024 restricting government funding from supporting research on “sensitive technology” (weapons, surveillance, AI, space, etc.) with any connection to certain suspicious research organizations.
The list of collaborators banned from receiving Canadian funding includes only Chinese, Russian and Iranian schools and military units. Not on the list, however, is the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which has already benefitted from exploited Canadian research once. It’s also known for possibly being the place that accidentally started a pandemic by letting COVID out of the lab, which doesn’t inspire confidence when it comes to handling our mail-in Ebola.
The House of Commons China committee is wisely recommending that the Wuhan lab be added to the list of research collaborators ineligible for Canadian taxpayer support, and, more wisely, the end to all government research teamwork with China on sensitive matters.
It’s further recommended that Canada come up with a list of “trusted” countries which will be the sole permitted recipients of highly dangerous live viruses that could kill millions if unleashed. Because, it turns out, we didn’t have one.
But under all this is a problem that’s going to take more than a committee to solve. Careless lab directors can still allow suspicious lab staff to send live pathogen samples to unfriendly countries. Research dollars can be siphoned off to support places like the Wuhan lab. Half-measures and painstakingly laggy responses are endemic to this government, and this weakness will continue to make us a prime target.
In conversation with some colleagues the other day, the topic of the American election came up. One person said that the Americans should amend their system so that whoever wins the popular vote wins the election. I responded that this was a bad suggestion. Democracy, I argued, is the worst concept of government there is. America’s Founding Fathers, I argued, while wrong to give themselves a republican (no king) form of government, at least had the sense to invent the electoral college to filter the popular vote so that their democracy was less direct.
Someone else said that I was advocating dictatorship, as if this was the only alternative to democracy. Apparently he had forgotten that I have explained my views quite clearly in the past. Legitimate government is a representative model on earth of the government of the universe in Heaven. That means the reign of kings. Or, should the succession fall to a woman as in the case of our late Sovereign Lady of blessed memory, Elizabeth II, a queen. Since human beings are fallen and sinful and lack the perfect justice of the King of Kings in Heaven, the institution that provides the governed with representation in the earthly king’s government is also acceptable. This is the ancient institution of Parliament. That it is ancient and has proven itself through the tests of time, and not the fact that it is democratic, is why it is acceptable.
Dictatorship is not the opposite of democracy but its ultimate expression. I don’t mean the original dictators, who were officials of the Roman Republic, appointed by the consuls (co-presidents) to handle an emergency, usually military in nature. I mean dictators in today’s usage, which is synonymous with what the ancients called tyrants. Whatever you call it, however, a dictator or tyrant, this kind of person is the ultimate democrat. For he seizes power by rallying the mob behind him. He is the opposite of a king, whose position in his realm is an extension of that of the father in the home or the patriarch in the older, more extended, family. A dictator is always “Big Brother”, the first among equals. Eric Blair knew of that which he wrote.
This colleague defended equality on the grounds that the Lord made us equal. “Chapter and verse” I responded. There is no chapter and verse, because this is not the teaching of the Scriptures.
Like democracy, equality is one of those abstract ideals that Modern man has made into an idol. The ancient Greeks knew better as can be seen in the myth of Procrustes, whom Theseus encountered and who made his guests fit his one-size-for-all bed by either lopping parts of them off or stretching them. Kurt Vonnegut Jr.’s “Harrison Bergeron” is an updated version of this story. Equality is a very deceptive idol because of its surface resemblance to the ancient good of justice. Justice, however, demands that each person be treated right. Equality demands that each person be treated the same as every other person. These are not the same thing.
The difference between treating people right and treating people the same can be illustrated by further ripping the mask off of equality. Equality passes itself off as the virtuous ethic of “You should treat a perfect stranger as if he were your own brother.” In practice, however, what it really means is “you should treat your own brother as if he were a perfect stranger.” In the field of economics equality is socialism, the system that presents itself under the mask of Charity or Christian Love, the highest of the spiritual or theological virtues, when behind that mask is Envy, the second worst of the Seven Deadly Sins.
The ancients knew that equality and democracy, far from being the goods and virtues they purport to be, basically boiled down to two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for supper. Modern experience adds that the false idol of equality leads inevitably to the dehumanization of mass society in which each person is reduced to just one number in the multitude.
My colleague argued that each person is equal in worth or value and that this can be seen by the fact that Jesus died for everybody. We should not be making a big deal about people’s worth or value, however, because to do so is to commoditize human beings. The value or worth of something is what you can exchange it for in the market. Jesus applied the concept of value to human beings once. This was in Matt. 10:21 and Luke 12:7 which record the same saying. Jesus’ point here is not egalitarian. God cares for the sparrows, you are worth more than them (this is a hierarchical, not an egalitarian observation), therefore you should trust God to take care of you. The only other time the word value appears in the New Testament – worth doesn’t appear there at all – is in Matt. 27:9 which speaks about the silver Judas was paid to betray Jesus.
Yes, Jesus died for all. To say that this made people equal is a major non sequitur. It introduced a new distinction between people. Those who trust in Him are saved by His death. Those who don’t, are condemned all the more for their rejection of the Saviour. Where they are equal, that is, the same, is in their need for Christ’s saving work.

“More than 25 Canadian cities so far have signed a proclamation declaring the entire month of December as Christian Heritage Month, calling for provinces to do the same.”
An article published this week by Western Standard News speaks to a growing demand for an establishment of heritage status for the Christian faith in Canada.
“Municipalities include Okotoks and Red Deer in Alberta, Prince George and Whistler in BC, Regina and Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, and more than 15 Ontario cities and regions, such as Ajax, Durham, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Sudbury and Mississauga.”
Canada is a country awash in government-endorsed heritage month designations. An effective drill-down on the subject calls for a definition of word “heritage.”
According to Vocabulary.com, “heritage can refer to practices or characteristics that are passed down through the years, from one generation to the next.”
“Researching your family tree would help you gain a sense of your personal heritage. Heritage is often used to discuss a cultural aspect or tradition that has been passed down through generations.”
Although dropping like a bomb relative to the rise of 3rd World-derived religions, a little over half of our population define themselves as “practising Christians.” Christianity is the most adhered-to religion in Canada, with 19,373,330 Canadians, or 53.3%, identifying themselves as of the 2021 census.
In terms of national heritage, the Christian-European influence permeates nearly every aspect of the foundation of Canadian society.
“The first official settlement of Canada was Québec, founded by Samuel de Champlain in 1608. The other four colonies within New France were Hudson’s Bay to the north, Acadia and Newfoundland to the east, and Louisiana far to the south. Canada became the most developed of the five colonies of New France.“
Cultural Action Party [est 2016] find it fascinating how, in terms of the woke assault on the colonial foundation of our country, the “French First” element is perpetually omitted. Due to Liberal government bias, the common perception is that Anglophones are at fault for the hardship experienced by our First Nations communities.
Be that as it may, the core elements of Canadian society largely derive from England. Parliamentary structure, legal and court systems, democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, et al. All of which add credence to the concept of a government-sanctioned Christian Heritage Month in Canada.
“Conservative MP Introduces Bill To Declare December Christian Heritage Month”
December, 2023:“Bill C-369, The Christian Heritage Month Act, is unlikely to be debated or come up for a vote.”
MP Marilyn Gladu noted that “members of other faiths in Canada, including Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims and Jews, have their own heritage months.”
You can say that again. In fact, the designations range from the sublime to the ridiculous:
Sikh Heritage Month, Islamic History Month, Tamil Heritage Month, Lebanese Heritage Month, Filipino Heritage Month, Hindu Heritage Month are the rainbow-coloured flavour of the day in Canada.
According to a 2016 census, 219,555 Canadians claimed Lebanese ancestry. A 2021 census informs us that just under 20 million citizens of our country adhere to the Christian faith.
The response to MP Gladu’s proposition was swift and direct: “forget about it,” opined the Liberal caucus. The bill didn’t even make it past the first reading.
According to CBC News, “the bill lands as the Conservatives press a petition campaign against a Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) paper that described statutory holidays marking Christian religious dates as discriminatory.“
How’s that for a kick-in-the-face via the Liberal government of Canada? By now, concerned citizens are accustomed to such behaviours. Our PM’s tenure coincides with the most extreme animus toward a religious community in modern Canadian history.
The bill flopped, not only by way of Trudeau’s Liberals, but with a healthy dose of hatred for the idea from leader Jagmeet Singh’s New Democratic Party. Charlie Angus, caucus leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) would have none of it.
Bringing the conversation to its base-line as it relates to social equality in Canada: “social equity,” and its myriad vicissitudes. It’s a piece of wokeness which exists at the core of Liberal government ideology. Foundational to the woke academic movement; ubiquitous among mainstream media publications.
Too bad it doesn’t actually exist. If social equity was authentically applied, Christian Heritage Month would have been-in-the-bag decades ago.
“From a population of fewer than 150 in 1983, Tamils form an increasing share of the overall Canadian population. As per the 2021 Canadian census, Tamil Canadians number approximately 240,000 and account for roughly 0.7%of Canada’s population.”
“Your[Tamil Canadians] contributions to this country are extraordinary,” stated PM Trudeau on the coveted day of Tamil Heritage Month.
In contrast, Justin Trudeau speaks of Canada’s European-derived heritage:
“We have consistently marginalized, engaged in colonial behaviours, in destructive behaviours, in assimilationist behaviours, that have left a legacy of challenges to a large portion of the people who live in Canada.”
Love you to, Justin. In these dynamics we discover the nature of the woke beast that is the Liberal government of Canada. They detest our national heritage, maintain wicked animus toward Canada’s European-Christian-Anglophone heritage, while at the same time heaping praise on Tamil and Lebanese communities.
What up with all of this, anyway? CBC certainly aren’t going to tell you. Nor CTV, Globe & Mail, Toronto Star or any other legacy media publication. Therefore, one is left to draw their own conclusion, like this:
The Trudeau government are not here to “manage” our country. They exist to transform Canada. What’s the take-away message from Trudeau’s inversion of community priority? The dynamics are nothing short of an exercise in absurdity. Yet, on and on it goes.
The Liberals don’t want it, and you can bet your bottom rubie NDP leader Jagmeet Singh concurs. To do so would be an exercise in authentic social equity. The rulers of “post-modern” Canada want nothing of the sort.
In terms of federal government support for an official designation of Christian Heritage Month, it will be a cold-day-in-hell when our prime minister and his crew of neo-communists give this one the thumbs up.
