Brace for Impact: DEI Is Flying Your Plane

r.Brace for impact: DEI is flying the plane. When airlines care more about diversity than competence, passengers should start praying. Senator Babet Jul 14

United Airlines has announced that by 2030 half of its new pilots will be either women or people of colour. If you don’t understand why this is a problem, I suggest you reach for the oxygen mask! Thanks for reading Let’s Talk About It! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.SubscribedUnited are not alone in the push to replace white male pilots with quite literally anyone else!Airlines around the Western world are increasingly deciding that when you’re hurtling through a thunderstorm in a tin can at 40,000 feet, what really matters is whether the person up front ticks the right identity boxes.Don’t misunderstand me. Women and people of colour have every right to fly jets. But when airlines start announcing diversity outcomes before the training has even begun, one starts to wonder: are we recruiting the best pilots, or just the best optics?

Remind me again where the exits are!The great irony in all of this is that it does zero favours to the very groups these airlines claim to uplift.Imagine being a highly qualified black woman pilot who has worked her tail off to earn her wings, only to have passengers in a flap about whether or not she was hired to fly the plane, or fly the flag of wokeness.

Aviation is one of the few remaining places where nobody cares about your pronouns, skin colour or genitals. The only question is whether or not you have the skill required. In the cockpit, merit isn’t a luxury. It’s the minimum requirement.Call me old-fashioned, but I breathe a sigh of relief when I board an aircraft (which is often) and see that the pilot is a middle-aged white guy.Because I know for sure that the only reason he’s behind the controls is because he can fly the damn plane and he is competent. Not because he ticks a diversity box. Senator Ralph Babet.United Australia Party.Leave a comment

City of Hamilton Anti-Islamophobia Drivel

City of Hamilton Anti-Islamophobia Drivel

The City of Hamilton is nothing but woke. Their roads are a total mess. They can’t maintain roads but they sure can traffic in White guilt and politically correct preaching. They have a website called Salam Hamilton. The site preaches “diversity”. Did we voters ever get a say before we were diversified? Of course, no.

Salam Hamilton – Anti-Islam)

decorative blue banner

Islamophobia

“Islamophobia is a fear, prejudice and hatred of Muslims that leads to provocation, hostility and intolerance by means of threatening, harassment, abuse, incitement and intimidation of Muslims and non-Muslims, both in the online and offline world. Motivated by institutional, ideological, political and religious hostility that transcends into structural and cultural racism, it targets the symbols and markers of being a Muslim.”

United Nations

Salam Hamilton is a city-wide public education campaign co-organized by members of Muslim communities across Hamilton. Developed following direction by City Council in 2021 to pilot an inclusion campaign with a specific focus on anti-Islamophobia, Salam Hamilton balances celebration and awareness and is meant to educate, inform, and address issues of hate and intolerance. Focused on combatting racism, rooted in anti-oppression, this campaign is specifically centered on challenging Islamophobia and its very real impacts on the daily lives of Muslim residents in Hamilton.

“Salam means peace, and is a greeting used to bridge hearts, foster understanding, and cultivate a sense of kinship. In choosing the theme of ‘Salam’, the campaign planning group aims to embrace the spirit of inclusivity and compassion that defines both our city and the Islamic heritage.”

The City of Hamilton recognizes the rise of hate crimes, including those focused on the Muslim community, both within the municipality and across Canada in recent years. By naming Islamophobia, we continue to take active steps to counter the systemic marginalization of diverse Muslim communities in Hamilton and encourage all Hamiltonians to stand united against all forms of Islamophobia, racialized and gender-based violence as we collectively continue to work toward Hamilton being a city that is safe, welcoming and inclusive for all.

Stand “against all forms of Islamophobia”? Hell, no. At times, Islam has been a militant religion of conquest. What are now Spain and Portugal were dominated by Moslems for 700 years. Rampaging Ottoman Turkish Moslems were stopped at the gates of Vienna by Polish King John Sobieski as recently as 1683. As recently as the early 19th Century several million Europeans were kidnapped by Moslem marauders, raiding from the sea, who took them off to be slaves or sex slaves.

Islamophobia is a fear of Moslems. Sure, not all Moslems are the same; not all subscribe to a strategy of conquest; not all practise the Islamic programme to bring about ” world peace” (dar es Salaam) by having all knees bent to Allah (conversion to Islam). So, it’s only prudent and be cautious about Islam. Cautious and vigilant. As newcomers, THEY have to prove themselves.

Consider the 30 teams that comprise the NBA. Each team is unique, but one stands out as the best, determined through the playoffs. In 2025, the Oklahoma City Thunder proved to be the top team, winning the NBA championship.Imagine a scenario where the Oklahoma City Thunder consistently won championships for nearly 2,000 years. This sustained success could lead us to conclude they are a highly skilled and dominant team, based on their performance, strategy, and teamwork. However, some might argue this dominance creates an imbalance, pointing to specific plays or referee decisions to claim the Thunder unfairly overshadow other teams. Thanks for reading! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work. The same is true regarding racial differences in the aggregate. The team — or race — that has enhanced the lives of all peoples for 2,000 years is superior; a combination of talent, genetic predisposition, preparation, and execution, not oppression or unfair advantage [source].Tragically, racial differences are evident in behavior. Blacks dominate news reports of crime, violence, and homicides. While the victims of black offenders are often black (see images at gunmemorial.org), whites are all too often literally losing their lives in the crossfire.

Here are examples from June, 2025:Kenadee Wallenfang, 18, fatally shot in Peoria, IL A Peoria County, IL judge criticized 19-year-old Deziaah Hunter’s actions as “cruel and reckless” after she allegedly shot 18-year-old Kenadee Wallenfang in the head from close range on the Peoria riverfront. Wallenfang is brain dead and will be taken off life support. Hunter faces 6-30 years for aggravated battery and potentially first-degree murder. The shooting occurred in an SUV; Hunter was behind Wallenfang. A bystander reported no argument preceding the shot. Hunter, reportedly drugged, tried to aid Wallenfang afterward. Police found a stolen gun and spent casing. Judge Mark Gilles kept Hunter detained, noting her “brutal and reckless disregard for human life

Patrick Heringer, 46, fatally stabbed in Cincinnati, OH Patrick Heringer, a 46-year-old U.S. Army veteran and the founder of Findlay Movement gym in Cincinnati, was tragically killed during an apparent home invasion on June 4, 2025. Mordecia Black, a 38-year-old man, has been arrested and charged with murder and aggravated burglary. Black has an extensive arrest record, reports say.Heringer, who was a prominent figure in the local fitness community, was stabbed multiple times, including in the neck, during a pre-dawn break-in at his East McMicken Avenue home. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, especially among those who knew him at Findlay Movement, where he was a beloved coach and mentor.

Christopher “DJ” Chapman, 27, fatally shot in Summerville, Georgia Video ►27-year-old Christopher “DJ” Chapman was fatally shot in broad daylight in Summerville, Georgia. The shooting ended a “confrontation” with 24-year-old Deoveon Price. The victim leaves behind a wife and two small children. Investigators believe the conflict was a spontaneous, personal dispute rather than a premeditated attack. Some believe blacks tend to lack impulse-control acuity.Chapman was found in the road with a gunshot wound to the chest and later died at Chattooga Regional Medical Center. Authorities say the altercation turned violent when Price allegedly pulled a gun and shot Chapman. Price fled but was arrested during a traffic stop after a coordinated effort by several law enforcement agencies.Price is facing charges including felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive or whether the two men had a prior relationship

.Rebecca Anne Roth, 33, fatally shot in Moriches, NY Video ►Rebecca Anne Roth, 33, was fatally shot in a Moriches, NY, apartment parking lot. Her former boyfriend, 40-year-old James Quininchetta, turned himself in.The District Attorney called it “a horrific act of gun violence,” reports say. Apparently, domestic violence is not a concern when a homicide victim is white and the alleged killer is black. It’s only “gun violence.” Racism is also scrubbed from the social dialogue when blacks commit violent crimes against other races.Reports say Roth’s mother found the victim in her car.Authorities described the incident as a senseless act of violence — reportedly over a $1,500 debt.

Shawn Christopher Brannon, 41, fatally shot in Paulding County, GA Video ►DailyKenn.com — Shawn Christopher Brannon, a 41‑year‑old father of three from Piedmont, Alabama, was fatally wounded in a road-rage shooting in Paulding County, Georgia. According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Brannon and another driver—later identified as Collins Pruitt became embroiled in a heated confrontation.Shortly after the altercation escalated, Pruitt allegedly shot Brannon while he was driving his black SUV. Despite suffering a gunshot wound, Brannon managed to call 911 and drive himself to a nearby fire station. Emergency personnel transported him to Wellstar Paulding Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.Authorities tracked the suspect vehicle to Pruitt’s residence in Cobb County and arrested him without incident. He was booked into the Paulding County Jail and charged with voluntary manslaughter. According to the sheriff’s office, the shooting did not meet Georgia’s legal threshold for a murder charge.Investigators believed the incident stemmed from a case of road rage, during which both drivers allegedly engaged in aggressive behavior. Pruitt’s actions, however, turned the confrontation deadly.Pruitt remained in custody without bond as the investigation continued. The case served as a tragic reminder of how routine traffic disputes could escalate into violence with devastating consequences

.Cody Thomas Telega, 31, fatally shot in Cambria County, PA Video ►Another white man in the prime of life appears to have been gunned down by an unhinged black criminal.Cody Thomas Telega was only 31-year-old when his life was taken from him in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He was found dead on the afternoon of May 17, 2024, in a residence in Summerhill Township. According to fox21online.com: “According to the criminal complaint, Antonio Duryea Hendon, 35, of Minneapolis arrived at the front porch of the building with a handgun and told everyone there to ‘go inside.'”A witnesses who ran away heard ‘four quick gunshots’ followed by one ‘final pop’ a couple of moments afterward, according to the complaint.”Hendon is then accused of shooting toward an upstairs neighbor who stuck his head out to see what was going on. The man was not injured.”The shooting victim, Cody Telega, 37, of Duluth was found in the common entry doorway of the building with ‘numerous apparent gunshot wounds.’ He died from his injuries. Telega lived in Apt. #4 in the building.”The second suspect in the killing is Amber Michele Rose Walker, 41, of Minneapolis who is accused of aiding an offender.” First responders arrived at the scene around 1:50 p.m. after receiving a 911 call. Telega was pronounced dead shortly after. The coroner’s office indicated the cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Samantha Tabitha Howells, 52, fatally shot in Pittsburgh, PA video ►Samantha Tabitha Howells, 52, was found dead early June 4 in her vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Crafton Heights neighborhood, according to city authorities.Crafton Heights is 37% black. That’s about three times the national average, leaving one to wonder why Howells would choose to live among them. In fact, the neighborhood is a relatively safe place. Still, the undertow of ethnic-related crime persists enough to justify a ShotSpotter alert system.Just before 4:30 a.m., a ShotSpotter alert drew officers to the 1400 block of Chartiers Avenue. There, they discovered Howells with gunshot wounds to the torso inside an SUV. She was taken to Wellstar Paulding Hospital and was pronounced dead after arrival. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim’s identity as Samantha Tabitha Howells, a local resident. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 19-year-old Israel Moseby of Pittsburgh. He faces charges including criminal homicide, unlawful firearm possession, and carrying a firearm without a license.According to the arrest affidavit, Moseby allegedly shot Howells during a confrontation in a parking lot owned by the victim and her husband, who had previously complained about thefts at the site. Witnesses reported that Moseby attempted to fire additional shots before his gun jammed.

Shooting leaves four dead in Janesville, WI video ► A murder–suicide in Janesville, Wisconsin has left four dead.Identities of the deceased are Julia Katherine Cvicker, 25; Haylee Renae Lounsbury, 21; Jahvarius Jakai Wicks, 21; and Scott Roberts, 55.Among the dead are three whites and one black. The media did not disclose which of the four was the shooter. When the media fails to report the ethnicity of suspects, we can presume they are not white. Likewise, we can correctly presume Jahvarius Jakai is black.According to police, officers responded around 11 a.m. following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals dead from gunshot wounds and another barely clinging to life. A firearm was recovered at the scene. The fourth victim died in the hospital.Investigators believe the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. Chalk up another deadly incident to a black-and-white domestic relationship. Let’s extrapolate. As non-white populations blend with white populations, the outcome is predictable and dire: White people will cease to exist.

Dakota Hallmark, 27, fatally shot in Gadsden, AL Video ►A white man appears to have placed himself in double jeopardy by driving in a dangerous neighborhood at a time when violent crime is at its peak.Officers responded around 4:48 a.m. to a report of a man slumped inside a parked car in downtown Gadsden, Alabama. Upon arrival, police found Dakota Hallmark, 27, dead from gunshot wounds.Gadsden police arrested Chrisshod Wallace, 22, and charged him with murder in connection with Hallmark’s death. Police are continuing to search for a second man.During a preliminary hearing held Monday, investigators testified that Wallace did not fire the fatal shot but allegedly participated in the robbery that led to Hallmark’s killing. Wallace is accused of attempting to remove a necklace from Hallmark and driving away with stolen items. The other suspect is believed to have pulled the trigger. He remains at large.Etowah County District Judge Joe Nabors denied Wallace’s bond on Monday under Aniah’s Law, which allows for no bond in cases involving serious offenses where the defendant poses a public safety risk.

Thomas Richard Walsh, 52, fatally shot in Shannon, NC Video ►Thomas Richard Walsh, 52, was fatally shot in Shannon, NC. Upon arrival, they found Delcore with trauma to his neck. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1 a.m.Investigators determined that Delcore had an interaction with Crawford in the parking lot before the shooting. Crawford allegedly fled the scene following the incident. The term “interaction” is an ambiguous term. It may be that the victim was accosted in an attempted robbery.

Patricia Britt, 61, fatally shot in Hamer, SC61‑year‑old Patricia Britt was shot dead at the Pantry West convenience store in Hamer, South Carolina, officials say.Four people have been arrested and charged in connection with the June 26 shooting.Ja’Heem Antwan Pernell, 19, Aalyiah Monique Priest, 22, face charges of murder and armed robbery, reports say. She admitted to researching how to use a Taurus G2C 9mm handgun before the shooting, claiming to her children that the gun had accidentally discharged. Huffstutler remains in Dale County Jail without bond, awaiting further legal proceedings. The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences confirmed Watson died from a gunshot wound to the head fired from approximately eight inches away.

.StatisticsAccording to statistics provided by the FBI, 58.2 percent of homicides in 2018 were committed by blacks who comprise about 13 percent of the population. Considering that most homicides are committed by males ages 17 to 49, we estimate that about half of all homicides in the USA are committed by young black males ages 17 to 49 who comprise about five percent of the population. That same year 39 percent of homicides were committed by whites who comprise about 72 percent of the population.According to information provided by American Renaissance, “In 2013, of the approximately 660,000 crimes of interracial violence that involved blacks and whites, blacks were the perpetrators 85 percent of the time. This meant a black person was 27 times more likely to attack a white person than vice versa.”4

SOME COMMON SENSE FROM ALBERTA: Keep away from wokeness and DEI, new minister warns municipalities

Keep away from wokeness and DEI, new minister warns municipalities

ByThe Local Journalism Initiative

Published: July 08, 2025 at 2:17PM EDT

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and former Minister of Mental Health and Addiction Dan Williams stand together during the swearing in of her cabinet, in Edmonton, Friday, June 9, 2023. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Jason Franson.

Major municipalities should steer clear of creating drug injection sites, licensing body rub parlours and banning plastic straws, says the first municipal affairs minister from rural Alberta since January 2021.

Using terms like woke and DEI, Dan Williams said municipalities of every size and type should concentrate on services taxpayers deserve and expect.

“I want to make sure that Edmonton and Calgary are doing their jobs. There’s not a left-wing and a right-wing way to plow a road or deliver water or treat wastewater. These are just the obligations of municipalities,” he told The Macleod Gazette.

But if they start veering into plastic straw bans and DEI policies and legalizing business licenses for brothels, then they’re way off base from the responsibility of a municipality,” said Williams, the member for Peace River and the former minister of mental health and addiction.

Urban centres receive heavy investment from the province because it makes economic sense to centralize services like specialized health care.

“We know we can’t have tertiary care and all sorts of high-level care in every rural town. But we need to make sure that these big-city centres are working for rural residents as well as urban residents,” said Williams.

The elimination of programs deemed DEI, which stands for diversity, equity and inclusion, has become a major policy thrust under the Trump presidency. Those against DEI say it discriminates against people whose identities don’t fall into certain categories, resulting in under-qualified members of minorities getting seats in universities or employment positions.

But those in favour of DEI say it helps calibrate institutions to community demographics, empower under-represented voices and perspectives, and correct an opportunity imbalance.

Edmonton and Calgary both licence body rub parlours and practitioners, escorts and exotic dancers.

Plastics bans or restrictions, meanwhile, are in place in at least eight Alberta municipalities.

If big municipalities “stay in their lanes, do their jobs and do them well, I have no interest in getting involved,” said Williams, who was first elected under the UCP banner in the 2019 general election.

“But if they’re way off in left field, making up all sorts of problems that don’t exist instead of paying attention to the urgent needs of their residents and of all Albertans as hubs, community centres and commercial centres for the entire province, then the province is going to step in.”

Calling himself the first “truly rural” MLA in the UCP’s young history to lead municipal affairs, Williams hails from the tiny hamlet of La Crête about seven hours north of Edmonton by car.

Tracy Allard of Grande Prairie was the UCP minister from August 2020 to January 2021. After her came two ministers from Calgary ridings, including Ric McIver, who recently moved to the speaker’s chair.

Williams said big cities should continue to get proper attention, but not at the expense of strategic growth in rural Alberta.

“We need to make sure our rural communities continue to compete with big centres for direct investment so they can continue to be wonderful places to raise a family, to grow a business, to play and to enjoy.”

Rural communities drive much of the economy, from resource development to agri-food to farming to forestry.

“We need to make sure they are viable and sustainable, that we have the ability to attract growth in our rural communities,” Williams said.

“That landscape is what brings so much of our advantage in Alberta, what brings us the prosperity we need. So we need to make sure that we’re planning for another century of economic boom in Alberta and creating the environment that allows for that.”

Sharing wealth is “part of the grand bargain of Alberta,” he said, with rural areas depending on city services and cities depending on the wealth from natural resources in rural areas. “We have to be able to develop those resources responsibly and thoughtfully, and you’re also going to need to invest in those communities. This is how Canada was built.”

He continued: “The idea is that we have an obligation as a society to be reasonable about how we deliver services to all corners of the country, and that includes within our province.”

Williams juxtaposed spending on a maternity and community care centre in “my hometown, way up north” with mental health supports in Medicine Hat and major urban health services like the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton.

“We know we need to have those (major health facilities) centred in our big centres, because there’s a high level of technical ability that we need to have there. But what we can reasonably have in our rural communities, we need to continue to plan for, and this government gets that.”

Premier Danielle Smith tweaked her cabinet in mid-May after the legislature elected Ric McIver to the speaker’s position. McIver, the member for Calgary-Hays, served as municipal affairs minister from January 2021 to October 2022, and again from June 2023 to May 2025.

His last stint in the ministry was marked with several controversial moves, including the removal of municipally created codes of conduct, the elimination of electronic tabulating in municipal elections, and the establishment of provisions allowing the province to revoke or revise bylaws that contravene the Constitution or provincial statues.

Critics said the government didn’t thoroughly consult municipalities before introducing many of the changes. In the case of electronic tabulation, the government was appeasing a contingent of voters aligned with Donald Trump and his unproven stolen election claims, they said.

Williams didn’t offer specifics about legislation to expect during his tenure at the helm of Municipal Affairs. Amendments and updates to the Municipal Government Act will continue, though.

“I can’t speak to anything in particular, but a big focus of mine is going to be making sure we have attractive investment climate for rural Alberta,” he reiterated.

“A big push for me is going to make sure that our big urban centres are doing their job representing their ratepayers and all Albertans by staying in their lane and doing the very important and hard work that takes to run a big international city like Edmonton or Calgary.”

A Proposal from Mike Bator PPC Candidate for Burlington

Posted on by

✍️ Bator’s Bills – The Series Begins

I’ve had enough of the identity politics, political theatre, and bills with nice titles but harmful substance—more taxation, more restrictions, more bureaucracy disguised as virtue.

It’s time for real solutions.

In 2021, I made a promise: if elected, my first private member’s bill would ensure that the tyranny we witnessed during COVID—forced shutdowns, jab-or-no-job mandates, censorship, and lawfare against peaceful citizens—could never happen again.

🏛 C-1: The Bodily Sovereignty and Freedom Act

Short Title: Bator’s Bill – An Act to Enshrine Bodily Autonomy, Protect Medical Privacy, and Permanently Prohibit Government-Imposed Lockdowns and Coercive

Medical Mandates

This bill would:

✅ Ban government-imposed lockdowns and emergency orders that override Charter freedoms

✅ Prohibit coercive vaccination mandates and protect medical privacy

✅ Outlaw “essential business” designations—because every business and every Canadian is essential

✅ Prevent abuse of law enforcement powers against peaceful protestors

✅ Hold those accountable who promoted the false narrative of “safe and effective” without scrutiny

This is not an official PPC bill, but it aligns with PPC principles and represents my personal contribution to the conversation on real reform and freedom-based governance.

People’s Party Was Right About Mass Immigration’s Effects on Housing Costs & Unemployment

Posted on by

Two studies appeared this week with results that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

They proved once again that the People’s Party was right about the negative impact of mass immigration – years before everybody!

According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), immigration caps are contributing to lower asking rents in Canada.

When you have millions of people coming to Canada who need housing, and demand for housing greatly exceeds the number of new houses and apartments that are built, prices and rents inevitably go up.

And when immigration levels go down, prices and rents will be lower.

This is just economics 101 of course!

But when I started saying this in 2018 after launching the PPC, all the woke commentators and journalists in the mainstream media said this was racist and far right!

Another study by the Conference Board of Canada concludes that wages are set to increase in Canada as immigration slows.

Duh!

Again, if you import cheap labour from abroad, wages will be depressed.

And when you import less of it, employers will be forced to offer higher pay to attract Canadian workers.

It’s crazy that this was seen as controversial by the whole political and media establishment until not long ago!

We criticize the government’s destructive policies and offer the best solutions, whether they are politically correct or not.

Wouldn’t Canadian politics be more rational if the PPC had more influence?

Landmark Australian Decision: Criticism of Israel is NOT Anti-Semitism

Landmark Australian Decision: Criticism of Israel is NOT Anti-Semitism

In a landmark ruling, the Federal Court of Australia has affirmed that opposing Zionism and criticising the actions of the Israeli state is not the same as antisemitism.

This ruling is a win for pro-Palestinian voices in Australia who have long been silenced or smeared as antisemitic for simply calling out Israel’s human rights abuses. The court’s clarification means that Australians can continue to speak up against apartheid, occupation, and genocide without being wrongly branded as racist. It reinforces the right to stand in solidarity with Palestinians; a right rooted in justice, not hate.

Justice Stewart explained: “Political criticism of Israel, however inflammatory or adversarial, is not by its nature criticism of Jews in general or based on Jewish racial or ethnic identity… The conclusion that it is not antisemitic to criticise Israel is the corollary of the conclusion that to blame Jews for the actions of Israel is antisemitic; the one flows from the other.”

🚨 Why UBI Is a Bad Idea

Universal Basic Income (UBI) isn’t freedom—it’s a costly, centralized distraction. It weakens motivation, inflates markets, and places an unsustainable burden on working Canadians. Most dangerously, it shifts decision-making from voters to unelected elites who want to dictate how we live, what we earn, and what we can own.

As the World Economic Forum famously declared:

“You will own nothing and be happy.”

Well, I’m not buying it—and neither should you.

💰 1. Massive Cost, Massive Consequences

A livable UBI in Canada would cost tens of billions annually, potentially doubling federal spending.
This isn’t theoretical—BC’s Basic Income Panel confirmed the math. And the funding? It comes from your taxes—diverted from critical services, or worse, added to our already crushing debt. Government handouts don’t come from magic—they come from your pocket.

📉 2. Weakens Work Incentives

UBI undermines the link between effort and reward.
In pilot programs across North America, recipients reduced their work by 4–5%, amounting to over 100 hours per household per year. When you decouple income from productivity, you kill incentive. And without incentive, society stagnates.

📈 3. Fuels Inflation & Market Distortions

Dumping money into the economy without adding productivity drives prices up—especially in rent, groceries, and fuel.
It’s no surprise that inflation follows “free money.” As everyone chases the same goods with more cash, prices surge, making life harder for those already struggling. UBI doesn’t fix poverty—it reshapes and relocates it.

🎯 4. Blanket Relief Misses the Mark

UBI gives the same amount to millionaires and single parents alike.
That’s not fairness—it’s fiscal irresponsibility. We already have tools that target help where it’s actually needed. UBI wastes billions on people who don’t need support while short-changing those who do.

🛠 5. Doesn’t Fix Real Problems

UBI doesn’t address why people fall through the cracks.
It doesn’t build job skills. It doesn’t improve healthcare access. It doesn’t help people overcome addiction or trauma. Studies show no measurable improvements in education, job quality, or health—and the mental-health gains fade within a year.

⚖️ 6. Better Alternatives Exist

Canada already has better tools:

  • Targeted welfare
  • Skills training and apprenticeships
  • Affordable childcare
  • Healthcare supports
  • Earned-income tax credits that reward work

We need to empower, not pacify.

CRIME WATCH: Musician From Ghana who led ‘simple life’ gets 15 years for smuggling 12 kg of heroin

[Inquiring minds might wonder just how this drug smuggling Ghanaian gained entry into Canada in the first place.]

A Canadian musician who returned to Toronto from his birthplace of Ghana with millions of dollars’ worth of heroin hidden inside false walls of his suitcases has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for what a court-appointed social worker called “an aberration of an otherwise ‘simple life.’”

A jury found Shadrack Oppong-Kyereme guilty in February 2024 of importing 12.2 kilograms of heroin into Canada two years earlier. But Oppong-Kyereme’s sentencing was delayed “due to the backlog of demands” for enhanced pre-sentence reports from social workers, according to a recent decision from Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice.

“Whether or not Mr. Oppong-Kyereme was vulnerable or gullible when he took those suitcases, it does not decrease his moral blameworthiness,” wrote Justice Judy Fowler Byrne.

“Mr. Oppong-Kyereme, to his credit, takes full responsibility for his actions. He understands the gravity of the crime, but also recognizes the impact it can have on others whom he will never meet.”

Oppong-Kyereme, now 39, arrived at Toronto Pearson International Airport on a flight from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Feb. 26, 2022.

“He had just returned from a trip to Ghana, where he attended the funeral of an uncle, and Malawi, where he operated a juice and fruit store,” said the judge. “He was directed to the secondary inspection area, where his two pieces of luggage were x-rayed. Having detected something odd on the x- ray, the (Canada Border Services Agency) officer took apart one piece of luggage by opening a false side and found a package that contained suspected illegal substances.”

Oppong-Kyereme was arrested after it tested positive for narcotics. “The heroin was found inside eight separate packages, four in each of the two suitcases,” said the June 26 decision, which notes the drugs were worth between $736,000 and $2,453,360.

He “has been married for two years, but his wife is unaware of his present circumstances,” Jacquie Pemberton, a social worker, said in Oppong-Kyereme’s Feb. 19, 2025, pre-sentence report.

Oppong-Kyereme “has three children from a prior relationship who are eight, 12 and 14 years old. He has parenting time on alternate weekends and during the week and is a constant figure in his children’s lives,” said the judge’s decision.

“When Mr. Oppong-Kyereme addressed the court at his sentencing hearing, his main concern was about his ongoing ability to financially support his children.”

Oppong-Kyereme’s father was also “unaware of his charges,” said the decision.

“He has asked that his mother not be contacted for the pre-sentencing report because it causes her to become overwhelmed.”

Oppong-Kyereme immigrated to Canada when he was 17 years old to live with his father, stepmother and their two children, said the decision. “He became a Canadian citizen in 2003. Unfortunately, he did not get along with his stepmother and moved out when he was 18 years old.”

Oppong-Kyereme has worked for himself and an employer, but a 2023 car accident sidelined him. “He is currently receiving insurance benefits as a result of the accident and draws on student loans that he has received,” said the decision.

Oppong-Kyereme, who finished high school in Canada, “recently completed an online course on cyber security and hopes to work in this area,” it said.

Oppong-Kyereme is also a musician, said the decision. “He writes and performs Afrobeats, reggae and high life (a genre specific to Ghana). He made his first professional recording in Ghana in 2010. At times he receives compensation for his music, depending on what platform his music is streamed on.”

Oppong-Kyereme “has a few good friends who describe him as quiet, humble and supportive,” said the decision. “His friends agree he was taken advantage of by his trusting nature. His sister was very surprised by the charges as he was never involved in anything like that before. Mr. Oppong-Kyereme blames his easy-going personality for being ‘stupid’ as he stated, and trusting his friend in Malawi who asked him to take his suitcases to Canada.”

Before the smuggling conviction, his criminal record consisted of one impaired driving conviction from a decade back.

The Crown argued Oppong-Kyereme should get 16 years behind bars. His lawyer suggested a sentence of 10 years would be more appropriate.

The judge noted heroin’s “addictive” and “destructive” nature.

“Heroin trafficking has been described as a ‘despicable’ crime and one that tears at the very fabric of our society,” Fowler Byrne said.

“Even if an illegal drug courier is found to be wilfully blind or naive, it is not a mitigating circumstance.”

In a viral exposé from Rome, travel vlogger Kurt Caz captures what he calls the collapse of European identity—where migrants dominate public spaces, locals feel powerless, and even questioning the chaos earns you the label ‘racist.’

A popular travel vlogger has gone viral after documenting what he calls the “collapse of European identity” in the heart of Italy’s capital. In just days, the video has racked up over a million views—not for Rome’s ancient wonders, but for exposing the city’s descent into chaos, crime, and unchecked mass migration.

The video comes from South African-German YouTuber Kurt Caz, whose 3.3 million subscribers know him for raw, on-the-ground reports from around the globe. But his latest dispatch from Rome hits differently.

“This is Rome? This is Europe?”

“I don’t see a single Italian here. I’m more Italian than any of these people.”

Rome Without Romans

Caz walks viewers through what he calls a city “riddled” with migrants, pickpockets, drug addicts, and NGO-backed vagrants. Italian locals agree, telling Caz that migrants now openly defecate in public, sleep in parks, abuse drugs, and steal from tourists while police look the other way.

In the opening scene, Caz joins a local anti-pickpocket team in Rome’s metro. Within minutes, they catch multiple thieves in action. The culprits—mostly women covering their faces are cornered and confronted.

“These people have no morals. They steal from the elderly, from disabled tourists—and nothing happens to them.”

“You can’t touch them. You can’t push them. But the police don’t stop them either.”

Danger in Broad Daylight

The video shows drug addicts slumped in parks and migrants shooting up near tourist hotspots like the Colosseum. Caz warns viewers that tourists—especially young women—are in real danger:

“Can you imagine two tourist girls walking here at night? These crackheads would rip them apart.”

One local admits to carrying pepper spray after being attacked with a broken bottle the week prior. Another explains that most of the pickpockets are Roma gypsies and migrants from Romania, Bulgaria, and North Africa.

“You don’t want to hit them with your hand,” one man warns. “You might catch AIDS.”

“F*ing Racist!”

At one point, Caz tries to speak with a migrant from Bangladesh who refuses to explain why he’s in Italy. But things quickly escalate when an African migrant throws a drink at Caz and yells:

“We are the world! Your grandfathers took from us—learn your history!”

The confrontation grows tense as the man charges toward Caz, shouting, “F***ing racist!” and threatening violence.

“We’re not in Africa,” Caz snaps back. “Get away from me.”

“These Are the ‘Engineers and Doctors’ You Welcomed”

Reflecting on the scene, Caz calls out the media and politicians who promised that mass migration would benefit Europe:

“This is the thank you you get. These are the ‘engineers and doctors’ they promised you. They hate us—but they want to live in our countries.”

“The real racists are them.”

NGO Complicity: “Because of You, These Criminals Are Here”

In another scene, Caz confronts an NGO activist caring for migrants in the city. When the man demands that his face not be shown, Caz fires back:

“You’re a leftist. You’ve destroyed your country.”

“Because of these f***ing NGOs—these socialist organizations—we have these problems. You protect the criminals and abandon your own people.”

Leftist Protest: “Palestine Flags, Pride Flags, and No Italians”

Later, Caz stumbles into a leftist protest filled with Palestinian flags and LGBTQ pride banners. He’s visibly stunned:

“What a combination. Palestine and pride—what could go wrong?”

“Thousands of Italians out here protesting for a country that’s not even theirs… while their own cities fall apart.”

“This Is Rome in 2025”

The video ends with more confrontations, more pickpockets caught, and more scenes of urban decay—trash, urine, stolen goods, smashed windows, and broken infrastructure.

“Look at the f***ing state of the city. This isn’t Rome—it’s a war zone.”

“This is Europe now. And nobody’s stopping it.”
