Cognitive psychologist Steven Pinker says allocating funding to scientists based on race or sex works against the interest of science and that universities need to drop their “obsession” with enforcing ethnic diversity.
Diversity mandates as practised by Canada are eroding basic science and discrediting the academic system, the renowned Harvard cognitive scientist Steven Pinker warned in recent testimony to a House of Commons research committee.
“Allocating funding to scientists based on their race or sex works against the interest of science and the nation,” Pinker told a meeting of the Standing Committee on Science and Research this week.
Rather, said Pinker, universities need to drop their “obsession” with enforcing ethnic diversity and focus instead on cultivating “viewpoint diversity.”
“As the joke went, in a university, diversity means people who look different but think alike,” he said.
Born and educated in Montreal, Pinker ranks as one of the world’s most wellknown Canadian academics. His books can regularly be seen atop The New York Times bestseller list, and his 2002 work The Blank Slate was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
Pinker’s testimony was mostly a broad critique of diversity quotas, which he said had their origins in the 1970s in the United States. Nevertheless, in recent years it has indeed become standard practice for Canadian universities to ascribe racebased quotas to everything from admissions to hiring to grant funding.
In a February report, the Aristotle Foundation for Public Policy found that it was a near-universal practice of Canadian universities to either screen for candidates based on race or sexuality, or to require them to file “diversity statements” expressing adherence to campus “anti-racism” policies.
Multiple Canadian universities have also begun setting aside program seats for members of a specific race. Toronto Metropolitan University, for one, opened its medical school last year with a requirement that 75 per cent of all admissions go to Black, Indigenous and other “equity-deserving” applicants.
Pinker told the committee that his own Harvard students, when faced with mandatory diversity statements to obtain a research position, have sometimes filled them out using the AI program CHATGPT.
Said Pinker, “they could not honestly fill them out; it would go against their conscience to say things that they knew were not true, but they knew they would be blackballed and eliminated from a job if they expressed their true opinions.”
In Canada, many of these identity-based policies have been driven by federal order. The more than $300 million in annual funding for Canada Research Chairs, for instance, requires universities to meet strict hiring quotas on race, sex and ability: 50.9 per cent of funds must go to women, 22 per cent to “visible minorities” and 7.5 per cent to “persons with disabilities.”
Pinker told the Commons committee that it’s not reasonable to expect that every single branch of science is going to have an ethnic makeup that’s exactly proportional to the general population.
“It leads to rather monstrous consequences like saying ‘there are too many Asians on this committee,’ or too many Asians are getting funding, or too many Jews, or too many Sikhs, or too many Arabs,” he said.
Pinker said that under the guise of “looking” diverse, universities have increasingly become subject to chilling “monocultures” that shun and punish dissenting opinions.
“As a cognitive scientist, I can attest that the human mind is vulnerable to many biases and fallacies. The strongest is the ‘my side’ bias, the conviction that my tribe or coalition or party is

correct and that a rival coalition is ignorant or evil or both,” said Pinker.
Pinker said the usual way around this is to maintain an intellectual culture in which biases can be freely attacked and criticized by colleagues who think differently. “One person can point out another’s errors and the whole community can be more rational than any of the individuals in it,” he said.
Pinker has previously described his political alignment as “liberal Democrat” and once told a writer for the Harvard Crimson that a framed candid photo of him meeting then prime minister Justin Trudeau was “one of my proudest possessions.”
Nevertheless, in recent years Pinker has become an outspoken critic of a “social justice monoculture” at North American universities.
He’s a co-founder of the Council on Academic Freedom at Harvard, a group pledged to endorse free speech and viewpoint diversity at the Ivy League school.
When multiple Harvard campus organizations openly endorsed Palestinian terrorism in the immediate wake of the October 7 massacres, Pinker published a five-point plan in the Boston Globe on how to “save Harvard from itself.”
Among Pinker’s points was a call for the university to “disempower” DEI. “Universities should stanch the flood of DEI officials, expose their policies to the light of day, and repeal the ones that cannot be publicly justified,” he wrote.
Also testifying at Monday’s committee was Azim Shariff, a UBC psychology professor whose research has touched on how institutional politicization affects public trust.
In a 2024 study, Shariff’s team found that even when an institution (such as the Catholic Church, police or Major League Baseball) had politics that aligned with a person’s own leanings, it still caused that person to lose trust in the institution.
“We found that the perceived politicization of institutions — the extent to which institutions were perceived as allowing their political values to impact their work — was associated with lower trust toward those institutions as well as lower willingness to support and defer to their expertise,” it read.
Shariff told Parliamentarians that “Canada, unfortunately, has a reputation for having a somewhat politicized academy.”
“Politicization in science, it’s like bacteria in an operating room,” he said. “There’s no way you’ll be able to get rid of it entirely, but you do want to do as much as you can to remove it, and I don’t think you should trust any surgeon who’s not trying to do that.”

First, the French thing, because apparently, it’s still a scandal. The law doesn’t just hint at it; it’s a constitutional and statutory eyebrow-raiser. Section 16(1) of the Charter reminds us that English and French are Canada’s official languages with equality of status in all federal institutions. Then you have the Official Languages Act and Section 34(2), which says federal officials should be able to speak both languages or undertake the training necessary to do so. And yes, Quebecers actually tried to take her to court over her lack of French fluency. A lawsuit because the Governor General isn’t fluent in French before assuming office. Meanwhile, Mary’s off taking French lessons and immersing herself in Francophone households, presumably with taxpayer dollars covering every polite “bonjour” and “merci.”
And let’s not forget her diplomatic trips. One flight alone racked up $93,000 in in-flight catering. Because why just eat a sandwich when lobster and caviar can be billed to Canadian taxpayers? She claims she had no involvement in the menu, which is comforting if you want to sleep at night knowing someone else spent $93k feeding you mid-air.
Then there’s the political timing of her symposiums. Hosting a conference on online abuse at Rideau Hall right when Parliament is quietly debating Bill C-63? Call me paranoid, but isn’t that a little too convenient? Neutrality, anyone? Meanwhile, she’s fielding the kind of racist, misogynistic, violent threats that would make anyone else reconsider public life, so her office shut down comments on her social media entirely. That’s right, Canada’s GG had to hide from the internet because people were too mean.
And of course, rumors swirl about “blank checks to Mark Carney” and previously Justin Trudeau and spending billions while Parliament takes a nap. Officially? No evidence. But the optics? Money has to be coming from somewhere. And she’s the ATM around. Dissolving Parliament, swearing in cabinets, hosting events, defending flights and meals, dodging court cases, learning French, all while making it look like someone’s actually running the country.
So, there you have it. Mary Simon, our very busy Governor General, flying first-class through history, learning French post-appointment, defending gourmet meals, dodging lawsuits, and hosting politically convenient symposiums, all while looking like she’s actually doing something important. Meanwhile, Canadians are left paying for the spectacle, wondering if any of this is really governance or just a taxpayer-funded reality show. Popcorn, anyone? The Biden-era investigation into alleged 2020 election interference turned out to have been far wider than originally thought
At least 92 Republican-linked people and organizations were the focus of a Biden-era FBI investigation into alleged attempts by Trump to overturn the 2020 election, newly unclassified files show.
The trove of documents was unveiled by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) during a panel hearing on Tuesday.
The probe, dubbed “Arctic Frost,” kicked off in April 2022 and was jointly conducted by the FBI and other agencies, becoming the foundation for former Biden special counsel Jack Smith to bring criminal charges against now-President Donald Trump.
The investigation focused on an alleged “multifaceted conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election so that former President Trump could remain in office,” the documents show.
The records reveal that “Arctic Frost” was much broader than just an electoral matter” and that the probe promptly “expanded to Republican organizations,” including the late Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA group. Kirk was killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking to an audience at Utah Valley University. One thousand of the students were accessories to Kirk’s murder, because they protested his appearance on campus, thereby creating a climate of hate that resulted in Kirk’s murder. We should despise those students even though they are the typical products of American education today. American education produces anti-Americans.
Senator Grassley reports that some of the Republicans “the FBI sought to place under political investigation included the Republican National Committee, Republican Attorneys General Association, and Trump political groups.” In other words, it was an effort to destroy the Republican Party.
“Arctic Frost wasn’t just a case to politically investigate Trump,” the senator reported. “It was a vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.” Grassley should have added that the corrupt “investigation” had the full support of the American whore media.
Shortly after the release of the documents, Trump took to Truth Social to slam Smith and the Biden administration over their corrupt investigation.
“They tried to force Charlie [Kirk], and many other people and movements, out of business. They Weaponized the Justice Department against Sleepy Joe Biden’s Political Opponents, including ME!” Trump wrote.
Smith resigned from his role ahead of Trump’s inauguration but defended his politically motivated probe and his decision to bring the false charges. Trump has repeatedly claimed that the ultimate purpose of the investigation was to derail his 2024 presidential bid. Actually, the purpose was to imprison Trump and to destroy the Republican Party. But this is too scary for even Trump to acknowledge.
Dugin is correct. Every Western European government has turned against its ethnic base because it is white and, thereby, racist. The members of the Western governments were taught that they are racists by their elite universities. Western governments no longer protect their own ethnic citizens. The governments protect the immigrant-invaders. In Britain and Sweden, and I believe the entirety of Western Europe, immigrant-invaders by virtue of their dark skin have the de facto right to rape white women, even children. The scandal of the mass gang-rapes of ethnic British women and children that the British government, regardless of party, has been covering up for 30 years has finally resulted in the mass protests by ethnic British. The protests are ongoing as I write.
The British Prime Minister, Starmer, and the Muslim female Home Minister both made it clear that the UK government represents the invaders, not the ethnic British citizens. The British Prime Minister declared that the “racist protesters” could not use the British flag to symbolize their protest, because the British flag represents multiculturalism, diversity, and a Tower of Babel, not ethnic British. Starmer declared that the protest from what was once the British nation was a racist rebellion against “diversity”and sicced the British police on the ethnic British citizens. Today if you are a citizen of Great Britain, you are subject to oppression by your own government in addition to the crimes and gang-rapes of your women by the immigrant-invaders. The ethnic British have failed to resist an invasion, and they have been conquered.
Little information about the protests comes from the whore Western media other than the whore media’s assurances that the protesters are racists and far-right. The American and Western European media’s position on the invasion of their countries by the Third World millions is identical to the position of the French and European media and governments in Jean Raspail’s book, The Camp of the Saints: The immigrant-invaders deserve our country and we must let them have it to make up for our sins against non-white peoples. Colonialism, slavery, all that sort of thing. In Raspail’s book there is no will to resist the immigrant-invaders destruction of European civilization and population.
The growing protests in Britain against being ruled by a government that represents immigrant-invaders is pointless, because it is non-violent. The British police unleashed by the Muslim Home Minister on the protesters– ethnic Britishers–the British government’s protection of gang-rapists, the British government’s imprisonment of ethnic British for protesting in defense of the English, indicates the direction of the fate of every Western country. They are doomed, because they are white and comprise a tiny minority of the world population that has been taught to hate them for their oppression of non-whites. The irony is that the hatred was taught to the non-whites by the whites themselves at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and so on.
Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge are accessories to the murder of Western Civilization.

The other example is a social media post that I cannot find at this moment. It asked the point of Trump sending the National Guard to blue cities defying the US government. Instead, send the US Air Force. In other words, obliterate the anti-American blue cities just as Israel has done to Palestine. The social media posts suggest that some white people are beginning to wake up and recognize reality. The enemies of traditional Americans are internal. The attacks on family, white people, sexual morality, Christianity, free speech, the Constitution, equal protection of law, and truth all come from the Democrat liberal-left, not from Russia, China, and Iran. By focusing on alleged external enemies, the Trump regime keeps the focus off of the real threat.
If Netanyahu had Kirk assassinated in order to avoid losing his brainwashed American conservative supporters who were being awakened by Kirk to Israel’s criminality, the Israel Lobby will use the American media to control the narrative, and Kirk’s assassination will be blamed on the NRA for defending the Second Amendment. By controlling the narrative, Kirk’s assassination can be eliminated as a rallying cry.
Currently, Trump, on whom the aware Americans place hope, is in England assuring the solidity of the US/UK alliance as the UK government turns England over to immigrant-invaders.

The National Post (September 10, 2025) reported: “A strong majority of Canadians feels they have the right to defend their home against intruders — and more than half say they don’t always feel safe in their neighbourhoods and that the justice system is working against their interests, new polling shows. “I don’t think that’s a healthy sentiment in Canada if over half don’t really feel the justice system is working in their interest,” Andrew Enns, Leger’s executive vice-president, said Tuesday about the findings of a new national Postmedia-Leger poll.The pollster said that could lead to situations where people say, “the law doesn’t respect me, why should I respect the law?” Eighty-seven per cent of respondents sided with using reasonable force against an intruder. In Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as well as among Canadians aged 55 and up, the number of those who believe citizens have the right to defend themselves during a break-in climbed to 92 per cent. … The poll was conducted after the Aug. 18 incident where Kawartha Lakes Police charged a Lindsay, Ont., homeowner with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon after he allegedly used a knife against an intruder armed with a crossbow. After police charged the homeowner, Ontario Premier Doug Ford spoke out about a person’s right to protect themselves and their family from home intruders and said the justice system is “broken.” In late August, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre called on the federal government to spell out in law that Canadians have the right to use force, including deadly force, against someone who enters their home illegally and poses a threat to their safety. …More than half of those polled (54 per cent) said they “feel the justice system — the courts and the laws — is working against the interests of law-abiding citizens.” Support peaked for that sentiment in British Columbia, at 59 per cent. Nearly a third of respondents (29 per cent) indicated “the justice system is protecting the interests of Canadians,” and 17 per cent said they “don’t know.” Leger’s online survey of 1,592 Canadians aged 18 or older was conducted between Sept. 5 and 7. For comparison purposes, a probability sample of the same size would have a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 per cent, 19 times out of 20.” The party line of our Liberal government is that the justice system is “systemically racist.” Yes, despite law schools churning out woke lawyers and judges, we’re supposed to believe that racism rules. The reason is that Blacks and native Indians are disproportionately in the prison system. The cultural Marxist believes all people are equal. If the results are not equal or the same, it must be racism. A simpler explanation is that Blacks and native Indians commit disproportionately more violent crimes than the rest of the population. For over 20 years, since the Gladue decision, we’ve had the “native discount” —
lesser penalties for Indians committing serious crimes. Informally, something similar is in place for Blacks. So, the dispossessed Majority suffers as the system coddles criminals. Michael Bator, People’s Party of Canada candidate in Burlington, argues: “Let’s be honest. Much of this crime wave is tied directly to mass immigration and a broken refugee system. Criminal gangs and cultural incompatibility are bleeding into our neighborhoods. Illegals and non-citizens walk across the border, and when they commit crimes, they are coddled by Ottawa instead of deported. That has to end. If you commit a crime here and you’re not a citizen, you should be deported the same day. Canadians never voted to import crime and danger into their own homes.” Several years ago during a rash of carjackings and break ins to steal cars, a senior officer advised people to leave their car keys visible inside the front door so that the criminals would not get frustrated and resort to violence. Similar surrender advice was repeated recently. After a home invasion in Kleinburg, Ontario left a father dead, York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween told concerned residents the "best defence for most people is to comply" instead of taking matters into their own hands. The statement sparked public outrage, with many feeling it was callously disconnected from their realities. In her latest piece for The Hub, CCF Executive Director Joanna Baron argues the right to self-defence is a basic and long-recognized principle, and that Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre’s proposed “Stand on Guard” amendment to the Criminal Code is a step in the right direction. Self defence is a moral issue. Do you have the right to life and your property? If you answer yes, then it follows that you have the right to the means to defend that right. To deny the right to the means of self-defence nullifies your right to life. An important means of self-defence is guns, including handguns. Further purchase of handguns was outlawed several years ago by Justin Trudeau, who, of course, was surrounded by armed guards! We must argue strongly for the right of Canadians to own and CARRY guns, including handguns for self-defence. Of course, some will argue that, under the “peace, order and good government” section of the BNA Act, the government will protect us (peace, order) from crime. Ideally, that’s true, but it’s obvious that government can’t always effectively protect citizens. Police admit as much. So, the responsibility for self- defence often reverts to the citizen. We must insist that the laws be changed: that, after proper safety training, Canadians should have the right to own and CARRY guns for their self-defence.
Furthermore, Canada’s ridiculous regulations about safe storage– trigger locks, gun cabinets, ammunition stored in a different place — make quick access to a loaded firearm, a necessity during a burglary or home invasion, extremely difficult. These should be replaced with a common sense requirement that weapons be safely stored given the circumstances. Hence, a loaded handgun kept in an unlocked drawer might be unsafe storage, if you had a three year old in your house. – Paul Fromm
