Trudeau’s 500,000 per year immigration plan should be his Waterloo

A number of Canadians have previously had doubts about openly opposing Trudeau’s relentless immigration intake. But they should not have any doubts now. His latest words should change their minds : Trudeau has just announced an aggressive plan to bring in 500,000 immigrants a year by 2025. 


Let us repeat : Trudeau plans to increase Canada’s immigration intake to 500,000 per year !! And he seems to think that he can get away with this outrageous plan.


His intake has been increasing every year for the past few years. It is already over 400,000. No logical reason has ever been given for such high numbers. The “Aging population” argument was refuted many years ago. The “Worker shortage” argument is probably the latest version of a sick cheap labour plan or an outright lie.


If Canada had journalists who had not been outrageously bought off by Trudeau, Canadians would have the detailed information to dismiss immigration industry arguments.


Trudeau’s 500,000 intake proposal is obviously the worst of all the stupid things he has done. As insane as it sounds, it is clearly more of Trudeau’s overall plan to have immigrants outnumber Canada’s current European-based population and make it a minority.


At the very beginning of Trudeau’s reign in 2015, he revealed his clear anti-Canada mindset. Trying to sound intellectual and capable of the analysis he is obviously incapable of performing, he described Canada as a “post-national state” with no clear identity”. Most Canadians concluded that he was a fool. Many concluded that he was obviously very hostile to Canada and that he intended to undermine and destroy Canada. Since then, he has taken many immigration and other measures to achieve that goal and erase completely the traditional identity of Canada.


The fact is that is that Canada’s European-descended majority population had long ago succeeded in making Canada one of the most successful countries in the world over the past 150 years. In fact, Canada was universally envied for its success.Foreigners wanted to come here to be part of the success. Now, Trudeau is importing huge numbers of immigrants who have actually announced that they are hostile to Canada and want to re-create here the politically corrupt cesspools they came from.


 It is no exaggeration to say that allowing such people into Canada is very dangerous. It is also no exaggeration to say that allowing such people in may ultimately lead to civil war and to a national breakdown.
For his actions, Trudeau at the very least would have been put on trial in most parts of the world. . There is also no doubt that he would have been sentenced to life in prison for treason. In fact, in many other parts of the world, he would have been quickly executed for treason.


For his contempt for Canada and especially its European-based population, Trudeau is already despised by a significant part of Canada’s population. His latest announcement should leave no doubt that he is a shameless and despicable traitor. He has obviously betrayed Canada’s majority population. Strong measures have to be taken to stop him from going any further . In most countries of the world, there are laws against treason. Even Canada has such a law. In fact, in the next few months, Canadian judges will have to sentence a Canadian military officer who has been convicted of treason. His crime was selling Canadian military secrets to Russia. Canadians should pay careful attention to the sentence that judges give to that man.


Why? Trudeau’s crime is infinitely worse : Trudeau is promoting the overwhelming of Canada’s majority population and the sale of Canada to groups that are openly hostile to the very existence of all Canadians.   


Trudeau has to be stopped immediately. The immigration idiocy he has already committed has to be corrected immediately. His latest idiotic announcement has to be withdrawn immediately


If Parliament were doing its job, it would have long ago reined in Trudeau at many points in the past few years. However, not a single MP has objected to any of the immigration actions that Trudeau has performed so far. (Sikh Heritage Month is one of the exceptionally stupid.) If Parliament repeats its behaviour of the past five years, it will not oppose Trudeau’s 500,000 proposal. If that happens,Canadians can justifiably conclude that Canada’s MP’s are a useless collection of deadbeats.


In Many countries, most of them would have been thrown out of the building that housed them. In a significant number of countries, the building and its occupants would have been declared useless, bombed and the wounded traitors left to rot.


Sounds appropriate for this latest mess in Canada, doesn’t it?

A new poll suggests the vast majority of Canadians are worried about how the federal Liberal government’s plan to dramatically increase immigration levels over the next few years will affect housing and government services.   Based on an online survey of 1,537 Canadians polled between Nov. 11 and 13, the results come about two weeks after Ottawa unveiled plans to admit 500,000 immigrants per year starting in 2023 to address a critical labour shortage across the country.

The government and industry have described the new targets, which represent a significant increase over the 405,000 immigrants admitted last year, as critical for filling about a million job vacancies across the country and to offset Canada’s aging workforce.  

Yet 75 per cent of poll respondents agreed that they were very or somewhat concerned that the plan would result in excessive demand for housing as well as health and social services.   That is despite Immigration Minister Sean Fraser having suggested that the new workers could actually enable the construction of more homes by addressing a shortage of tradespeople, along with an increase in federal support and settlement services.  

Leger executive vice president Christian Bourque suggested that the poll results reflect the pressures many Canadians are feeling because of a lack of affordable housing and inflation rates driving up prices.   “There’s a heightened sense of concern over stretching our tax dollar and stretching our dollar,” he said.   “In good, positive economic times before the pandemic hit, these numbers might have been different. But now I think there’s a growing concern of how far and how much we can afford.”   The government might need to do a better job explaining the benefits of immigration to average Canadians, Bourque suggested.  

Opinions were more divided over the number of immigrants the government plans to admit, with 49 per cent saying it was too many versus 31 per cent who felt it was the right number. Five per cent said it was not enough, while the rest didn’t know.  

While opinions were largely the same across different parts of the country, respondents who identified as Conservative, Bloc Quebecois and People’s Party of Canada supporters were more likely to say the target was too high

Staff Sergeant Dale Weidman,Vancouver Police Department: On August 19, in response to a CBC interview you did on so-called “HATE SPEECH”, we sent an e-mail to you. In our e-mail, we asked you to tell us the number and nature of recent complaints the VPD had received about so-called “Hate Crimes” in Vancouver. In your reply, you mentioned that you would not tell us the number and nature of the complaints that Asians were making because you had to abide by “Privacy” laws. 

No offence, but that sounds like a typical bureaucratic weak excuse. Here’s the important question for you to answer : What is so “private” about the number of complaints? Second, what is so “private” about what happened in a sample of the so-called “hate” incidents that occurred? We were not asking you to give us names of victims or perpetrators or the location of the incidents. We were just looking for a rough idea of what happened in a few incidents so that we could determine  the seriousness of the incidents. For example, were most of the complaints mere incidents in which Chinese were called “CHINKS” “?

Again, what’s so private about that? Remember something: Most Cantonese refer to people of European origin as: “Gwailo” meaning “barbarian”, that is “a person inferior to Chinese”. Mandarin speakers have a similar word. To coin a phrase, “Put that into your pipe and smoke it !” 

Here is a big problem you have to deal with: Many White People (maybe including you and other Vancouver Police officers) have been brain-washed into thinking that they can achieve “HERO” status by championing the cause of so-called Chinese “victims”. Our disgraceful CBC/Private media and equally disgraceful politicians have been working tirelessly for years to program Canadians to react that way.

 Before you go further down that road of thought, please remember that the Chinese in particular (Chinese investor immigrants specifically) are responsible for one of the greatest social catastrophes (namely, Unaffordable Housing) that has happened in Metro Vancouver since Confederation. Immigrant investors from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China were allowed into Canada principally because they promised to start a business here and employ Canadians. In return, they were given immigrant status for themselves and their dependents. In addition, their dependents received a large number of free social benefits such as free elementary and secondary schooling and cheap university education.

However, almost all of the investor immigrants shamelessly did not open businesses. Instead, they speculated on housing and drove hundreds of thousands of Canadians out of home ownership. Worse still, a large number of the investor immigrants were brazen tax evaders from the start and continue as such. In summary, all Canadians have good reason for being indignant about the presence in Vancouver and elsewhere in Canada of these crooks. As for whether the numbers of these crooks are significant, consider this : Several hundred thousand of those Chinese arrived here. I’m not excusing physical violence, but I am saying that Canadians have ample justification for extreme resentment.

Our cowardly politicians have done almost nothing to effectively correct this disaster. In fact, almost all of our politicians cower in their basements at the thought of being forced to take action against these crooks or of legislating a major correction (such as a major reduction in immigration intake) which would end this continuing social catastrophe.

Consider this : The Vancouver Police Department and other police such as the RCMP might have mitigated this social catastrophe by investigating such activities as Chinese money laundering and real estate speculation. As far as we are aware, the Vancouver Police Department has not instigated any such investigation. Correct us if we are wrong.

Disgracefully, you have chomped at the bit to investigate so-called “HATE CRIMES” against “Asians”. Let us repeat, the Vancouver Police Department could have done something to mitigate an ongoing social catastrophe, but instead you have focused on a social triviality.

If you would like an example of another very important issue (also immigration-related) that you and other police should have gotten involved in, here is one: The Muslim Brotherhood has entered Canada in large numbers. It has vowed to destroy Western Civilization from within. Yes, I said “destroy”. Doesn’t that sound serious? Shouldn’t such a threat take precedence over investigating a White Canadian for calling a Chinese person a “chink”. The Muslim Brotherhood uses the word “America” to denote the place they want to destroy. However, they have a substantial presence in Canada and apply the same goal here and in all other Western countries. Instead of spending your time trying to present yourself as a hero to Chinese and other Asians, why don’t you and your VPD colleagues do some investigating of the Muslim Brotherhood? I am sure you will uncover something significant to pursue. We can help you to find other information.

As the waves of blue Quebec flags and Canadian Red Ensigns moved forward on June 3rd, they were joined by another wave of supporters bearing red Ontario and Mohawk flags.
A very small and ineffective group of Antifa’s arrived holding banners displaying misspelt messages against “patriarchy,” “racism,” and “hate.”
Faith Goldy spoke, thanking the participants and thanking Quebec for being the centre of modern Canadian patriotism.

Your reasons for increasing Canada’s immigration intake contain three big mistakes.
Here they are :
(1) You said that Canada needs immigrants to deal with its aging population. Wrong!! If you had done your homework you would have realized that over 25 years ago, Ottawa asked its department of Health and Welfare to decide whether Canada should use immigration to solve future aging population issues. The answer was “NO”. Researchers concluded that even if Canada increased immigration to 600,000 per year, the increase would not reduce Canada’s average age or the ratio of older Canadians to younger Canadians. It would be better to get older unemployed men into jobs and to encourage more women to enter the work-force. The CD Howe Institute’s study in 2006 reached a similar conclusion : It found that to have an effect, Canada would have to have an unrealistically high intake of immigrants and would be taking in 7 million immigrants per year and the country’s population would have reached 165 million by 2050. Obviously, that intake would cause social havoc. It would be better to avoid using immigration as a tool and to gradually increase Canada’s retirement age.
(2) You said that immigration drives innovation and strengthens the economy. Wrong !! Once more, if you had done your homework, you would have realized that around 1990, Ottawa asked The Economic Council of Canada to determine if immigration would stimulate (strengthen) the economy. That group looked at Canada’s economic performance in every decade from Confederation to 1990 and concluded that immigration had not stimulated the economy in any previous decade. Its message : If immigration had failed to stimulate Canada’s economy for about 120 years, it was unlikely it would do that in future. Today, with completely senseless immigration, Canada is currently throwing away $35 Billion per year to import people it does not need.
(3) You implied that Canada had to keep increasing its population. Wrong!! You said that immigration-driven population growth now accounts for about 75 per cent of Canada’s population increase and that by 2036, 100 per cent of Canada’s population growth will be as a result of immigration. What good is achieved by increasing a country’s population endlessly? If you had bothered to read the Science Council of Canada’s thorough study regarding an optimum population for Canada, you would have learned that the Science Council (the best scientists in Canada) stated that Canada’s resources are not limitless and that Canada has to restrict its immigration,slow down its population growth and stabilize its population at around 34 million. If Canada does not do these things, it will jeopardize its own food and energy supply, and severely curtail both its standard of living and its national sovereignty.
Here is a vital question you should ask : “Why have I made such a mess of my announcement?” And here’s the answer : You have spent all your time listening to the immigration lobby. Let’s illustrate : If you were in charge of making new laws to curb drug dealers, would you ask Hell’s Angels for advice? Let’s spell it out for you : Here are three of the HELL’S ANGEL equivalents that you have listened to :
(a) the federal government’s own Advisory Council on Economic Growth. That is Bill Morneau Incorporated and should not be trusted.
(b) The Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants. Canada has organized crime but immigration consultants are Canada’s organized slime. They definitely also should not be trusted.
(c) The Canadian Immigrant Settlement Sector Alliance and others. They are Canada’s Coalition of the Putrid. All of them (immigration service groups, refugee advocates and ethnic groups such as Sikhs, Muslims and Mainland Chinese have betrayed Canada in order to gain financially. You are the latest in a list of immigration Ministers and members of Standing Committees to let them get away with it.
Your leader has not kept important promises he made when he campaigned. He said he would restore evidence-based government. As we’ve explained, it’s clear that the immigration policies he has supported are not evidence-based. In addition, you’ll have to admit that his announcement last winter that all refugees are welcome here was exceptionally foolish. And, at the start of his term, he declared that Canada was a post-national state. Scandalously, he meant that his first loyalty would be to recently-arrived ethnic groups, not to Canada’s majority population. We could go on. But let’s cut to the chase : Many Canadians believe he has betrayed Canada. They think that he chose you to be the Somalian acid that he would throw into the face of Canada. As for you, to whom Canada generously gave refugee status, no Canadian respects anyone who taunts them as you did with contemptuous statements such as “Increased intakes of millions of unnecessary immigrants are Canada’s NEW IMMIGRATION NORMAL”.
Your statements may make you feel good because unnecessary immigration has a good chance of making Canada look like a hell-hole such as Somalia. But sane Canadians don’t want to make Canada look like Somalia or India (particularly the Punjab) or Mainland China.
Remember three important matters : (a) Canada has at least 1 million unemployed, many of whom are now competing for jobs with unnecessary immigrants. (b) Canada also has tens of thousands of homeless. As winter arrives, why are they on our streets while new arrivals live in hotels or secure housing? (c) Canada has obligations to its aboriginal population who in addition to being part of the jobless and homeless, require other assistance. It will take years for Canada to correct these THREE major problems. In the meantime, instead of increasing immigration to well over 300,000 per year and worsening the lives of Canadians, you should have announced that Canada’s immigration intake would be reduced to nearly zero. Get your act together and do the right thing.

B.C. Premier Christy Clark who sat back and did virtually nothing as Metro Vancouver house prices soared into the stratosphere is once more demonstrating that she is a Province-Wide “Disgrace”.

 

She has just proclaimed that a recent flyer circulated in Richmond is a “disgrace”.

 

Now, dear me, we like to be polite, but if anyone is to be summarily condemned for being a disgrace,  it is Clark. Over and over for several years , she was called on to intervene in Metro Vancouver’s astronomic housing price crisis, but she and her government as well as most other politicians of every party and at every level of government engaged in gross negligence.

 

They claimed they did not have enough information to act, but experts have shown they had ample information to do something. Instead,  Clark took the advice of the corrupt real estate industry and let the real estate market go into a frenzy. The negligence of her and the rest of the political class has created one of the most expensive housing markets in the world.

 

Clark’s government has introduced a 15% tax but the damage of their gross negligence will endure. This is a grossly unjust financial burden for hundreds of thousands of Metro Vancouver residents. Unless a major economic crash occurs, that burden will last far into the future both for renters now facing escalating rents and for home owners who are now saddled with huge mortgages.

 

Governments which commit such crimes against their own citizens on such a basic need as shelter are not just true “disgraces” . They are criminals and deserve to be treated as criminals.

 

It is hard to believe that Clark and all the other politicians had  not heard about the work of UBC Professor David Ley, whose book “Millionaire Migrants” showed that relentless immigration was the major cause of astronomic house prices.

 

It is also hard to believe that Clark was not aware of David Ley’s revelation that there was an extremely high statistical correlation amounting to cause and effect between immigration and Metros’ high housing prices. Clark could have used Ley’s research and complained to Ottawa that Canada did not need almost all of  the immigrants it was taking and that a dramatic reduction in immigration was necessary, but she did not.

 

It is also hard to believe that Clark was not aware of David Ley’s revelations  about a particular kind of immigration :  the Business Immigrant Programme. That programme had resulted in several hundred thousand Business Immigrants and their families coming to Metro Vancouver.

 

Ley also showed that these wealthy people, most of whom were Chinese, did not fulfill their obligation to start businesses here and employ Canadians. In fact, almost all of them and their families made it clear from the beginning that they were in Canada to sit back, plunder and parasitize Canada.

 

It’s now time for Canada to collect the huge amounts IN BACK TAXES that it is owed by these people or to take measures to remove them.

 

It is also hard to believe that Clark was unaware of the revelations of   UBC Professor Daniel Hiebert. He stated these people were declaring income at the level of some of the poorest areas in Canada. This meant that they were paying little if any Income Tax and undoubtedly hiding their offshore earnings.

 

In other words, these big-money off-shore migrants were plundering and parasitizing Canada’s education, health and other Canadian infrastructure. For the sake of grossly negligent Clark, her government and most other politicians, Hiebert prepared a map showing where many of these new arrivals were living. Almost all were residing in the most expensive areas of Metro Vancouver in very expensive houses, some of which could be described as mansions.

 

It is also hard to believe that Clark and her colleagues have not heard about the investigative work done by journalists such as Douglas Todd, Kathy Tomlinson, Sam Shepherd and others who have demonstrated that our politicians and Canada’s Gatekeepers (FINTRAC, the CRA and Canada’s Department of Immigration) have allowed hundreds of thousands of immigrants as well as offshore speculators to abuse Canada’s tax and immigration system in order to launder dirty money from places like China.

 

Former Richmond Mayor Greg Halsey-Brandt was the first of only a few politicians to state that Canada was being cheated. The vast majority of politicians have been silent and have done nothing. The cheaters have interpreted politicians’ silence to mean that politicians approve of tax evasion or are afraid of offending the cheaters and fearful of endangering votes from the cheaters.

 

Here are some big questions for Premier Gross Negligence Clark to answer:

 

Does she intend to ask the police investigate UBC Professors David Ley and Daniel Hiebert, and journalists like Douglas Todd, Kathy Tomlinson and Sam Shepherd for hate crimes? That is, for revealing facts that grossly negligent, politically correct politicians hate to hear? For their shining light on the foul if not brazenly criminal actions of Wealthy Chinese cheaters? For daring to point to the Asian elephant in the room?

 

It is time that we forced the cheaters to pay for their tax evasion, overturned their table and cast them and their political enablers in Victoria out of B.C.’s TEMPLE.

demonstrating that she is a Province-Wide “Disgrace”.

She has just proclaimed that a recent flyer circulated in Richmond is a
“disgrace”.

Now, dear me, we like to be polite, but if anyone is to be summarily
condemned for being a disgrace,  it is Clark. Over and over for several
years , she was called on to intervene in Metro Vancouver’s astronomic
housing price crisis, but she and her government as well as most other
politicians of every party and at every level of government engaged in
gross negligence.

They claimed they did not have enough information to act, but experts have
shown they had ample information to do something. Instead,  Clark took the
advice of the corrupt real estate industry and let the real estate market
go into a frenzy. The negligence of her and the rest of the political class
has created one of the most expensive housing markets in the world.

Clark’s government has introduced a 15% tax but the damage of their gross
negligence will endure. This is a grossly unjust financial burden for
hundreds of thousands of Metro Vancouver residents. Unless a major economic
crash occurs, that burden will last far into the future both for renters
now facing escalating rents and for home owners who are now saddled with
huge mortgages.

It is hard to believe that Clark and all the other politicians had not heard about the work of UBC Professor David Ley, whose book “Millionaire Migrants” showed that relentless immigration was the major cause of astronomic house prices. It is also hard to believe that Clark was not aware of David Ley’s revelation that there was an extremely high statistical correlation amounting to cause and effect between immigration and Metros’ high housing prices. Clark could have used Ley’s research and complained to Ottawa that Canada did not need almost all of the immigrants it was taking and that a dramatic reduction in immigration was necessary, but she did not. It is also hard to believe that Clark was not aware of David Ley’s revelations about a particular kind of immigration : the Business Immigrant Programme. That programme had resulted in several hundred thousand Business Immigrants and their families coming to Metro Vancouver. Ley also showed that these wealthy people, most of whom were Chinese, did not fulfill their obligation to start businesses here and employ Canadians. In fact, almost all of them and their families made it clear from the beginning that they were in Canada to sit back, plunder and parasitize Canada. It’s now time for Canada to collect the huge amounts IN BACK TAXES that it is owed by these people or to take measures to remove them. It is also hard to believe that Clark was unaware of the revelations of UBC Professor Daniel Hiebert. He stated these people were declaring income at the level of some of the poorest areas in Canada. This meant that they were paying little if any Income Tax and undoubtedly hiding their offshore earnings. In other words, these big-money off-shore migrants were plundering and parasitizing Canada’s education, health and other Canadian infrastructure. For the sake of grossly negligent Clark, her government and most other politicians, Hiebert prepared a map showing where many of these new arrivals were living. Almost all were residing in the most expensive areas of Metro Vancouver in very expensive houses, some of which could be described as mansions. It is also hard to believe that Clark and her colleagues have not heard about the investigative work done by journalists such as Douglas Todd, Kathy Tomlinson, Sam Shepherd and others who have demonstrated that our politicians and Canada’s Gatekeepers (FINTRAC, the CRA and Canada’s Department of Immigration) have allowed hundreds of thousands of immigrants as well as offshore speculators to abuse Canada’s tax and immigration system in order to launder dirty money from places like China. Former Richmond Mayor Greg Halsey-Brandt was the first of only a few politicians to state that Canada was being cheated. The vast majority of politicians have been silent and have done nothing. The cheaters have interpreted politicians’ silence to mean that politicians approve of tax evasion or are afraid of offending the cheaters and fearful of endangering votes from the cheaters. By calling for an immigration intake increase to 450,000 per year in what has been, over 25 years, the world’s highest rate of immigration, Ottawa’s  Advisory Council on Economic Growth is but scraping the surface on what Canada can achieve in growth and influence. Their recommendation would free this country from its economic doldrums and project Canadian enlightenment and hope around the world.

Establishing an annual immigration rate of 1 ½% of the Canadian population creates a cycle of compound growth. Our population will double every 50 years elevating it to 36 billion (1000 times the current paltry level of 36 million) by the year 2500  vs waiting until  the year 2700 with the current rate of 1% (320,000 this year) !

Think of the dynamics of the economy created by adding 1000 Torontos, Vancouvers, Calgarys, and Montreals to Canada’s empty and lonely landscape !!   To maintain the Canadian connection with the great outdoors every family would have a cottage. This means 14 billion personal retreats spread over the limitless Canadian beauty. We would truly be the nation of nature !!

The use of cold fusion sea water reactors would allow never-ending power to be produced. Meanwhile, the vast oil sands could be counted on to provide liquid fuels for the 175 billion vehicle fleet of our multi car and recreation vehicle families forever.

The latest generation of perpetual motion machines would enable this infinite energy to be used for infinite uses.   Canada would become the leading consumer nation, eclipsing China and India combined many times over.

Yet Immigration Minister John McCallum appears to have backpedaled on this brilliant proposal saying it might be too ambitious.   What bold initiative ever lacked ambition? For the nation of hope, “too ambitious” is an oxymoron. Ambition and hope are the twin pillars of progress and enlightenment.

This bold and hopeful economy would guarantee unlimited market potential with housing prices soaring to the millions of dollars per sq foot and higher.   Several million people can earn immense wealth in trading properties and millions more could have their mega yacht come in with just a few years of stock derivatives investing.

Those who were income challenged (one should no longer use the word “poor” or “lazy”) like doctors, engineers and those engaged in the tawdry trades of producing food and real goods and services, could be given courses in financial management to allow them to participate in this galaxy of money making opportunities. Keyboards truly are the wealth producers of mans’ dreams.

Of course, there are practical limitations. 36 billion people is 5 times the current population of Earth which means that not only must the planets population have to grow but everyone has to move to Canada.

Sacrifices?

There would have to be a few. But paving over farmland is a natural process for an informed growth economy since agricultural produce accounts for a very small amount of the economy compared to land development. Once all of our farmland has been upgraded into money producing investment plays, the concept of agriculture will be just a quaint memory.

Problems? Yes. But these have been foreseen by the enlightened Advisory Council. They predict a skills shortage for 2500 due to indolent Canadian youth who live in their parents closets inside their grandparents bedrooms in their great grandparents basements. The shortage will be alleviated by that year’s intake of 540 million (1.5% of 36 billion) 24/7 working, low wage craving, compliant immigrants.

Other countries, misguided by pessimists and naysayers pushing their quality of life and social cohesiveness agenda, will be left in the dust of their own global warming paranoia by our economic growth.

In just several short centuries of compound 1 ½% immigration, Canada will stand astride the globe like a colossus with our vision on the stars above us. A mere 1000 years after the first Europeans landed in this deserted cornucopia of unending natural resources, Canada will have achieved endless progress. There are no limits once the politics of growth-forever are embraced and applied !!

Think of it! Hope never ending, the solution to all of mans’ problems.

“Former immigration minister Chris Alexander has confirmed he plans to run for the Conservative leadership and that a key plank of his campaign will be a proposal to sharply increase the intake of immigrants to 400,000 every year, including 40,000 refugees, because ‘this is a core value for me and for Canada.’

Although not yet officially a candidate, the McGill and Oxford graduate said the paperwork would be completed within the next week or two. After that he intends to undertake a cross-country journey by car to the West Coast, ‘stopping in every place we can where we have an invitation, to speak with groups, large and small, of Conservatives and potential Conservatives’.” (National Post, October 12, 2016)

Now, there’s a novel Tory platform to confront the Liberals — massively boost immigration, almost all of it from the Third World,  to hasten the replacement of the European founding/settler people.. But, come to think of it, that’d exacty what Canada’s unhealthy looking and sallow Immigration Minister John McCallum is hinting at, after consulting with “stakeholders” ( that is, the immigration lobby — immigration lawyers, ESL teachers, hangers on in the $1-billion annual immigration settlement industry.) The Liberals are hinting at a big boost in immigration and refugees. Yet, the polls, as opposed to the self interested lobbies that have the minister’s ear, show Canadians oppose an immigration increase, opposed the admission of so many Syrians last year, and support the idea of screening out immigrants with “anti-Canadian” attitudes (arrangement marriage,  honour killings, etc.) Indeed, a Forum Research Poll for the Toronto Star found:  ” Two-thirds of Canadians want prospective immigrants to be screened for “anti-Canadian” values, a new poll reveals, lending support to an idea that is stirring controversy in political circles. Conservative MP Kellie Leitch, a candidate in her party’s leadership contest, has floated the idea of screening newcomers for their attitudes on intolerance toward other religions, cultures and sexual orientations and reluctance to embrace Canadian freedoms.” (Toronto Star, September 10, 2016)

Alexander, 48, was Canada’as Ambassador to Afghanistan before he entered politics. He lost his seat in the last election.

Still, he insists: “‘I think we are still a very pro-immigration party.’ He reasoned that Canada needs more immigrants to replace retiring baby boomers and because immigrants are essential if the economy is to grow.”

This is elite nonsense. With 7 per cent official unemployment — real figures likely twice that — just what are the present cohort of about 305,000 immigrants, let alone a planned boost to 400,000, going to do: they will either get a job and take it from a Canadian (Canada loses) or they will not get a job and have to be supported on welfare and in public housing (again, Canada loses). Far from “growing the economy”, except that of the immigration industry, immigration is a huge drain on the economy. Professor Herb Grubel in a 2011 study for the Fraser Institute pointed out that the cohort of immigrants,. mostly from the Third World, from 1980 on cost taxpayers well over $25-billion annually. That’s the tax benefits they consume less the taxes they pay — a net deficit. Massive immigration to “replace retiring baby boomers”? Why not wait until there actually is full employment or a labour shortage. Why import people for jobs that may never be there.

Whatever else establishment Alexander may be he is no conservative in economics, but, apparently, one of his “core values” — how we hate this cliche — is the Speeded up replacemeNt of his OWN people. In a saner age he would be dismissed as a comical loon!

Superficially, a coast to coast motor tour to listen to the people sounds like a good populist idea. However, when he actually was in power, Alexander had no time for immigration critics. His staff pleaded that he was very busy. In the Spring and Summer of 2014, Immigration Watch Canada repeatedly contacted him for a meeting to discuss immigration levels. He was always too busy. Finally, on August 25, IWC and the Canada First Immigration Reform Committee held a protest outside his constituency office. A horde of Durham Region Police showed up to protect the minister’s staff and the office abruptly closed.

However, Mr. Alexander had plenty of time for non-Whites.  An Immigration Watch Canada statement from the time noted:

HERE ARE SOME POINTS TO NOTE ABOUT OUR PROTEST :
 
– About 8 to10 members of the Durham Police showed up about an hour before our protest began and ordered us to remain about 100 feet away from the front door of Immigration Minister Chris Alexander’s office.  According to the police, Alexander’s office sat on “private property”. To offset that disadvantage, we used a high powered megaphone to broadcast our message to any office staff who were listening. We also used a large banner which was visible to any staff member who was  watching our protest. 

– While walking to Alexander’s office along the street, we displayed our 10-foot long banner which had the message “SAVE CANADA. CUT IMMIGRATION” . Many cars passed by and drivers both honked their horns in approval and gave us a “Thumbs Up”  in support of our message. 
 
– Someone had alerted Alexander’s office staff about our peaceful protest. Staff had locked the front door of Alexander’s office.  While assembled, we noticed several constituents trying to get into Alexander’s office but they could not open the door.  
 
– For at least  6 months prior to our protest, we had requested Alexander’s Department of Citizenship and Immigration to provide evidence which would justify Canada’s immigration intake, an average of  250,000 per year for the past 23 years. Alexander’s office staff claimed such evidence existed, and that they would send it. However, they have never sent us anything. 
 
– In July, Immigration Watch Canada sent registered letters to both  Alexander’s constituency office in Ajax and his office in Ottawa. In the letters, we requested an August meeting with him to discuss evidence he had for Canada’s immigration intake. About a week later, we received a call from a member of his staff who stated that Alexander would be busy ‘travelling in August” and therefore would not be available. We told  the staff member that his response sounded like a very lame excuse. 
 
– The numerous postings below that Alexander has made on his Facebook Page clearly show that Alexander’s excuse was indeed “lame”. The “travelling” Alexander did in August and July was to meet many ethnic groups in his area and in other areas nearby. To us, this clearly demonstrates that Alexander believes that the immigration-related views of themajority of Canadians don’t count and that in his view, ethnic groups and the immigration lobby are the only ‘stakeholders” in Canada’s immigration process. To put it mildly,  Alexander and other government representatives need a severe jolt to wake them up.

HERE IS WHAT WE DID AT THE SAME TIME AND HERE IS THE RESPONSE WE RECEIVED  :

-A large number of people called Alexander’s office both while we were assembled and after the assembly concluded.  They requested any Government of Canada report which provided (1) credible evidence that justified mass immigration of 250,000 per year and (2) evidence that this intake is benefiting Canadian society. They also stated that  they stood in support of the peaceful assembly hosted by Immigration Watch Canada ! 

The staff in Alexander’s office did not pick up the phone to answer most calls. Instead, many callers were transferred to Alexander’s voice mail. This treatment of legitimate complaints by thoughtful Canadians is typical of the hypocrisy in Canada’s immigration system : Immigration Ministers and many of Canada’s politicians continue to grovel at the feet of immigrant voters. Yet they treat Canada’s majority population with contempt.  

In the past, Alexander’s office staff have been anything but co-operative and knowledgeable about the immigration issue. Instead of working diligently to provide callers with requested information and noting their concerns on current immigration policies, they simply told callers such things as “We are a local MP’s office and have nothing to do with immigration.” or “We do not talk about immigration-related issues here !!! Your complaints need to be directed to CIC. You can also email them to the Immigration Minister’s office in Ottawa”.

HERE IS OUR CONCLUSION :
 
As you can see, Alexander, his government and Parliament continue to demonstrate that they have no intention of protecting Canadians and Canada. They could be introducing measures to dramatically cut immigration, but Alexander’s Conservative and all other parties continue to grovel for their share of the immigrant vote.

Advice to McCallum : It’s Time to Go Back To School

OUR ADVICE TO IMMIGRATION MINISTER MCCALLUM : IT’S TIME TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND STAY AWAY FROM THE IMMIGRATION LOBBY

 

Immigration Minister John McCallum’s has been musing that he will increase Canada’s immigration intake well above 300,000 for 2017. The two reasons he gives are clearly not evidence-based and should be thrown into the nearest recycling bin.

 

REASON A : He says Canada needs immigrants because it has an aging population. He does not seem to know that the Mulroney government asked Canada’s Department of Health and Welfare to study this issue. It was to determine whether Canada should use immigration to solve problems that might arise because of Canada’s aging population (particularly a drain on Canada’s finances). Health and Welfare Department’s long study around 1990  concluded that Canada would be better off  to use its own population (particularly its females who were not in the workforce and its unemployed older males) to solve such issues. Doing this would stabilize the number of people that each worker supported at 1.9 (Canada’s Dependency Ratio). Increasing immigration to as high as 600,000 per year would have little effect on reducing the percentage of older people in Canada’s population.

 

McCallum also does not seem to know that a CD Howe Institute study in 2006 on the same issue concluded that “… no conceivable amount of immigration, with an age profile such as Canada currently experiences, can significantly affect the coming shift in the ratio of older to working age Canadians.” It predicted that Canada’s percentage of older Canadians (now around 17%) would rise to 46% of the population by 2050. It looked at three strategies : (1) reducing the percentage of older people through high immigration (2) stabilizing the percentage of older people so that a much smaller percentage of Canada’s population would be 65+ in 2050. One of the very negative results of using high immigration would be that Canada’s population would rise to 169 million by 2050 and its yearly intake would be 7 million !!! Such consequences would clearly negate any benefits.

 

The third strategy it proposed was to increase Canada’s retirement age to 70. This technique did not use immigration to achieve its end, and would be superior to the other two strategies. By 2050, the maximum percentage of aged Canadians potentially dependent on government programmes would be about 33%, not 50%. Researchers pointed out that simultaneous policies aimed at encouraging work and saving were also important. Saving, in particular, would decrease reliance on public coffers. The Harper government did suggest raising the retirement age. This proposal has to be re-visited

 

REASON B : McCallum is also saying that Canada has a labour shortage and that Canada needs much higher immigration. He claims to have consulted with about 35 groups across the country. Recently, in Alberta where about 100,000 people have lost their jobs in the past two years because of the downturn in Alberta’s oil industry, he stated that Albertans were telling him that Alberta needed more immigrants. The question that most Albertans are asking is this : Who is McCallum listening to? Other Canadians are asking the same thing.  It seems that the only people he is talking to are members of the immigration lobby (lawyers, consultants, advocates and ethnic groups like the Sikhs, Muslims and Chinese). In fact, he has been proposing that Canada accept many more Chinese students and workers. To accomplish that, he wants to dramatically increase the number of Canada’s visa-granting centres in China. Anyone who has seen what unnecessary immigration has done to Canada in the past 25 years must be cringing or  saying that they would prefer an Ebola epidemic.

 

And they are not the only ones !!! Two of Canada’s big banks (Toronto Dominion and the Bank of Montreal) did their own studies three years ago on whether Canada had a labour shortage. Both concluded that it did not. The point is that the banks are precisely the ones we would expect to be cheer-leading higher immigration. But the TD Bank stated “With data in hand, we debunk the notion that Canada is facing an imminent skills crisis.”  Overall, both said that whatever skill shortages existed, were isolated and likely no greater than existed a decade ago. In addition, the Parliamentary Budget Officer in 2014 reported that there was little evidence to suggest that a labour shortage exists.

 

Clearly, Canada’s Immigration Minister John McCallum has not done his homework and he has no evidence to support his proposal to greatly increase Canada’s immigration intake. Our advice : Raising immigration intake to 300,000 for 2016 was already a bad mistake. Don’t make another.
