Immigration effectively redistributes half a trillion dollars from U.S. workers to the businesses that hire immigrants each year, Harvard economist and immigration and wages expert George Borjas testified before Congress Wednesday.
Based on a supply and demand model, Borjas found an increased supply of immigrants competing in the U.S. job market does produce a net gain for current U.S. workers of about $50 billion a year. But that small gain in the context of an $18 trillion economy is far outweighed by a transfer of wealth from U.S. workers to the businesses that hire those immigrants that amounts to $500 billion dollars.
“What immigration really does is not so much increase the pie, as redistribute the wealth,” Borjas testified before the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest. “So what I’ve learned from all this is that immigration happens to come out to be just another government redistribution program.”

About one dozen families who recently immigrated to Canada are
demanding that the Louis Riel School Division in Winnipeg excuse their
children from music and co-ed physical education programs for religious
reasons. The families believe music is un-Islamic ~ just like the
Taliban believe and then imposed on the entire population of
Afghanistan and that physical education classes should be segregated
by gender even in the elementary years.
The school division is facing the music in a typically Canadian way –
that is, bending itself into a trombone to try to accommodate these
demands, even though in Manitoba, and indeed the rest of the country,
music and phys-ed are compulsory parts of the curriculum. Officials
say they may try to have the Muslim children do a writing project on
music to satisfy the curriculum’s requirements. The school officials
have apparently consulted the Manitoba Human Rights Commission, and
they have also spoken to a member of the Islamic community suggested
by those very same Muslim parents. In any event, the school district
is trying to find a way to adapt the curriculum to fit the wishes of
these families, rather than these families adapting to fit into the school
and Canadian culture.
Mahfooz Kanwar, a member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, says he has
a better idea. “I’d tell them, this is Canada, and in Canada, we teach
music and physical education in our schools. If you don’t like it,
leave. If you want to live under sharia law, go back to the hellhole
country you came from or go to another hellhole country that lives
under sharia law,” said Kanwar, who is a professor emeritus of
sociology at Mount Royal University in Calgary.
That might be putting things a little more forcefully than most of us
would be comfortable with, but Kanwar says he is tired of hearing
about such out-of-tune demands from newcomers to our country.
“Immigrants to Canada should adjust to Canada, not the other way
around,” he argues. If they did not like these things in Canada, why
did they not go somewhere else? If they want Canada to be like their
homeland why don’t they go home?
Kanwar, who immigrated to Canada from Pakistan via England and then
the United States in 1966, says he used to buy into the “mosaic,
official multiculturalism” (nonsense). He makes it clear that, like
most Canadians, he is pleased and enjoys that Canada has citizens
literally from every country and corner in the world, as it has
enriched this country immensely. But it’s official multiculturalism –
the state policy “that entrenches the lie” that all cultures and
beliefs are of equal value and of equal validity in Canada that he objects
to.
“The fact is, Canada has an enviable culture based on Judeo-Christian
values – not Muslim values – with British and French rule of law and
traditions and that’s why it’s better than all of the other places in
the world. We are heading down a dangerous path if we allow the idea
of sharia law a place in Canada. It does not. It is completely
incompatible with the idea and reality of Canada,” says Kanwar, who in
the 1970s was the founder and president of the Pakistan-Canada
Association and a big fan of official multiculturalism.
Kanwar says his views changed when he started listening to the people
who joined his group. They badmouthed Canada, weren’t interested in
knowing Canadians or even in learning one of our official languages.
They created cultural ghettos and the Canadian government even helped fund
it.
“One day it dawned on me that the reason all of us wanted to move here
was going to disappear if we didn’t start defending Canada and its
fundamental values.” That’s when Kanwar started speaking out against
the dangers of official multiculturalism. He has been doing so for
decades. So, it’s no surprise that Kanwar is delighted with the recent
speech British Prime Minister David Cameron delivered to the 47th
Munich Security Conference on Feb. 5.
“Under the doctrine of state multiculturalism,” said Cameron, “we
have failed to provide a vision of society to which they feel they want to
belong. We have even tolerated these segregated communities behaving
in ways that run counter to our values. So when a white person holds
objectionable views – racism, for example – we rightly condemn them.
But when equally unacceptable views or practices have come from
someone who isn’t white, we’ve been too cautious, frankly even
fearful, to stand up to them.
This hands-off tolerance,” said Cameron, “has only served to
reinforce the sense that not enough is shared. All this leaves some
young Muslims feeling rootless and … can lead them to this
extremist ideology.”
Kanwar actually credits German Chancellor Angela Merkel for being
among the first of the world’s democratic leaders to take the
courageous step in October to say that official multiculturalism had
“failed totally..” It appears leaders are getting bolder. During an
interview with TFI channel on Feb. 10, French President Nicolas
Sarkozy declared: “We have been too concerned about the identity of
the person who was arriving and not enough about the identity of the
country that was receiving him.” Cameron ended his speech by saying: “At
stake are not just lives, it’s our way of life.That’s why this is a
challenge we cannot avoid – and one we must meet.”
That democratically elected leaders are at long last starting to sing
a different tune on official multiculturalism is sweet music to Kanwar.
Here’s hoping those poor kids in Winnipeg will get to hear some of it.

Suppressing House Price Truth = Cheering Destruction
With some exceptions, Canada’s media continues to suppress the real causes of astronomically-high housing prices in Metro Vancouver and Toronto. And Canada’s new government seems to be imbibing what most of the media say. It has just announced that it will increase Canada’s immigration intake to over 300,000 per year, the highest in 100 years—-thus inflicting even more demand for housing and more financial damage on millions of Canadians.
One of the latest shameless efforts to suppress the truth happened in a CBC Radio interview done by CBC Early Edition Host Rick Cluff with Jia Wang, Deputy Director of the China Institute at the University of Alberta. In response to an allegation that Mainland Chinese were the cause of Metro Vancouver’s high housing prices, Ms. Wang said there was no hard evidence to support the charge.
There is a major flaw in asking such a question to someone like Ms. Wang or anyone else that is a Mainland China promoter.
These people are here to defend Mainland China and to portray Mainland China as a benevolent actor in the world’s affairs. She and others know that, with the collusion of business interests in the West, Mainland China has largely de-industrialized the West and has become a colonial power. She and others will do all they can to distort reality in order to further China’s interests. And naive, quisling Canadian governments are eager to help them. The evidence : According to the China Institute’s web site, “The China Institute at the University of Alberta (CIUA) was established (mostly for educational reasons) in the fall of 2005 with an endowment fund of C$37 million from the Government of Alberta.”
Informed Canadians, but obviously not those at our CBC, know the answer they will get (from a China promoter) to a question about China’s intentions. It is like asking a coyote in front of a chicken coop whether he intends to break into the coop. The coyote will lie. So will countries like China who are seeking to expand their control of Canada and the Canadian fools, particularly those at the CBC, who will believe them. Here is one of the most recent realities that our new government and the CBC choose to ignore :
According to a March 14 column by Douglas Todd in The Vancouver Sun, UBC Geography Professor Daniel Hiebert has concluded that immigrants have a major impact on fast-rising house prices in Metro Vancouver and Toronto.
The following is a shortened version of that column :
“There is definitely an impact on the housing market,” said Hiebert, who believes a key factor behind the phenomenon is many new immigrants arrive in Canada’s major cities with a great deal of money.
The veteran researcher’s exclusive cross-tabulation of housing and immigration data, including between 2006 and 2011, found on average that 53 per cent of immigrants to Metro Vancouver during those five years became homeowners in that period.
“They bought roughly 100,000 homes in Metro Vancouver during the five years, ranging from suburban condos to ritzy mansions.”
‘“New Chinese immigrants were at the top of all this. Kind of incredibly, their rate of home ownership was 73 per cent,” said Hiebert.
Hiebert, who has published major studies on immigration, housing and ethnic enclaves, believes immigrants are seriously affecting housing affordability at both the high and low ends of the market.
“I think it would be a pretty big stretch for someone to arrive tabula rasa (without a lot of money) in a housing market like Vancouver and within five years be able to purchase a home in this place. That would be really difficult to expect,’ says UBC geographer Dan Hiebert.
“Prices of Metro Vancouver’s expensive properties, those in the $4-million-plus range, are being dramatically affected by immigrants”, Hiebert said. ‘But, at the low end, so are costs for new Syrian refugee families, who need government subsidies to afford a basic place to live.”
While some of the new immigrants who end up classified as homeowners might be among the relatively few who arrive on a family reunification program and join an existing household, Hiebert believes most would be buying homes by transferring large financial resources into Canada.
Hiebert’s findings support the conclusions of UBC’s David Ley, holder of the Canada Research Chair in geography and author of Millionaire Migrants. The Oxford-educated professor has found an “unusually decisive” correlation between high immigration to Metro Vancouver and high home prices.
The overall rate of home ownership among all residents in Metro Vancouver is almost 70 per cent out of a total 1.5 million households, according to Hiebert’s work.
“Based solely on visible-minority status, and disregarding immigrant status, ethnic Chinese have the highest ratio of home ownership, followed by South Asians,” Hiebert said.
“The percentage of home ownership among Chinese is 81 per cent, accounting for 290,000 Metro households, Hiebert said.

Race & Advertising: How Big Business Mocks Whites in Ads
Your article “Canada’s jobless rate rose in February, reaching its highest level in three years” (The Globe and Mail March 12, 2016) calls into question the self-congratulatory tone of the announcement last week that Canada is upping this year’s immigration to 305,000.
You reported: “The country missed expectations for employment gains and lost 2,300 jobs with a steep decline in full-time positions. The unemployment rate edged up … to 7.3 per cent in February … Across the country full-time employment fell by 52,000, while part-time jobs rose by 49,500. … The unemployment rate in [Alberta] jumped to 7.9 per cent.”
Just what is this flood of newcomers, even if they have language and work skills — and many in the family re-unification class do not – going to do?
Two possibilities: an immigrant gets a job or does not get a job. If he gets a job, good for him but bad for a Canadian who remains unemployed. Canada loses. If he doesn’t get a job, that’s bad for him and bad for Canada as, being a compassionate society, he has to be housed and supported. Canada loses again.
In times of high unemployment, Canada needs a moratorium on immigration, not an increase. It’s time for some compassion for our own unemployed and for recent graduates struggling to find a job for which they’ve studied and trained.

The TABLE below contains a sample of Canadian cities that are accepting Syrian refugees. The TABLE indicates the number of Syrian refugees that each of the cities is taking, the number of Homeless Canadians in each of the cities and the number of Canadians who are on Waiting Lists for Housing in each of those cities.
Quite a number of these figures are very shocking. For example, Toronto had 5219 Homeless and had a Housing Waiting List of 77,109 in 2014. Yet it has taken 4234 Syrian refugees and is now providing housing for them !!!
As we have said before, Toronto politicians are now strutting around the city like arrogant roosters in a barnyard, implying that they should be congratulated for betraying their own citizens. Politicians such as MP’s, MLA’s, Mayors, Councillors and School Trustees are doing the same things in other cities.
Most Canadians would be willing to send money to groups overseas to help Syrians in refugee camps or in the foreign cities where they are living. But most Canadians think it is immoral to give a very limited supply of Canadian housing to Syrians and all other non-Canadians.
Multiply by 10 the betrayal of taking 25,000 Syrian refugees. The answer is 250,000. That has been Canada’s average yearly immigration intake for the past 25 years. Then, Multiply 250,000 by 25. The answer is over 6 million immigrants in those 25 years. Most of these people were unnecessary and most of them are now competing with Canadians for housing and jobs. Obviously, this betrayal is even more outrageous.
The overall point that this TABLE makes is that our federal government has made a choice : It has placed the needs of these Syrians over the needs of Homeless Canadians. This is a shameless betrayal of Canadians and Canada. In the past, many people have twisted in the wind for doing much less harm.

Invasion: Hungary Declares Emergency

]The Hungarian government has declared a state of emergency to cope with a renewed wave of nonwhite invaders forcing their way into that country following the de facto closing of the “Balkans route.”Minister Sandor Pinter justified the move after Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia announced that they would only allow access to “refugees” who have “valid papers and visas.”
[The state of emergency gives greater powers to the police and extends their abilities to make identity checks. The last time the Hungarian government declared a state of emergency was in September 2015, but then it was applicable only to the border districts, and not the entire country. ]Meanwhile, reports from the border area have indicated that a new wave of nonwhite invaders, denied border crossings through Macedonia because they have not been able to pass themselves off as “Syrians,” are employing Serbian people smugglers to bring them through the Hungarian border to get to Germany.According to a report by the Custodela news service, an increasing number of invaders are breaking through the parts of the Serbian-Hungarian border that are not closed off with the steel fence.
]Local border police have captured groups of invaders—often led by Serbian gangsters, who know the route—almost every night for the past two weeks. The invaders have been identified as coming from as far afield as Sri Lanka, Iran, Morocco—and even from Haiti.The steel fence does not cover the entire border, and in many areas it still only consists of three rolls of barbed wire stacked on each other. It is through these weak points that the Serbian gangsters are taking the invaders.
The Custodela report adds that the captured invaders are transferred to open camps and prosecuted for breaking the law, but that their status remains in limbo thereafter because the Serbian government refuses to accept deported invaders back onto its soil

]The Bulgarian government has also announced that it will be taking steps to prevent its territory from becoming a new path to western Europe. “We have recognized this risk and take any action against it,” Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Rumyana Batschwarowa said yesterday on state television.]It is estimated that there are close to 36,000 nonwhite invaders now backed up in northern Greece, all from Third World countries which even the western European liberals admit are not “war zones” and who have no right whatsoever to apply for “asylum” in Europe.]Significantly, the controlled media still insists on calling these opportunistic invaders “migrants” and showing pictures of them holding up babies and small children to emotionally blackmail Europeans into granting them access to welfare payments
