The Conservative leader’s defenders say the CPC never endorsed high inflows. The record is more awkward: Amritsar flights, foreign-nurse licensing tours, a 2022 “pro-immigration” radio pitch — then a hard turn once the polls turned. Harmony’s (CPC trolling me for years) defence of Pierre Poilievre is simple. The Conservative Party of Canada does not say yes to mass immigration. Maxime Bernier is unelectable. Michael Bator is spreading misinformation. Vote Pierre. That last instruction may still be how a lot of Canadians vote. It is not an answer to the charge. Bernier’s point was never that Poilievre published a manifesto titled Yes to Mass Immigration. It was that the Conservative leader changes with the wind: one script for Punjabi radio and festival season, another for the housing-and-wages audience once public opinion soured.

You can test that without mind-reading. You only need the clips, the petitions, and the dates. The Amritsar campaign was not a slip. It was the product. In April 2023, Poilievre stood in Brampton in a room holding banners that read “Direct Flights to Amritsar Now” and “Open the Skies to Amritsar.” This was not a stray remark on the way out the door. It was a launch. “Punjabi Canadians have been calling on the federal government to deliver direct flights between Amritsar and Canada,” he said. “But even after years of activism from the Punjabi community, the Liberal government has failed to fight gatekeepers and open the skies to Amritsar.”
Hindustan Times, April 2023Then the line that tells you who the policy was for: “I, along with my deputy leader Tim Uppal, shadow minister Jasraj Singh Hallan and a group of other conservatives, are launching a full campaign to get the direct flight from Canada to Punjab, especially Amritsar, so that over a million Canadians who have their origins in that part of the world can fly directly from our country to that beautiful place.”

Same Hindustan Times report He repeated the pitch to Indo-Canadian media the same week: Canada has the largest Punjabi diaspora in the world; London and Milan already have the route; seniors and families should not have to land in Delhi and drive. He said he had met the Indian High Commissioner, written the transport minister, and sat down with Air Canada and Air India.

Indo-Canadian Voice A week later he was at the Surrey Vaisakhi parade, thanking volunteers who “helped rally support… for a direct flight to Amritsar” and pointing people to the party petition.

In April 2025, on RED FM, he was still selling Toronto and Vancouver to Amritsar and blaming Liberals for failing to land a single direct flight after a decade. Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE, the UK, Italy — they had the route. Canada did not.

A flight is not an immigration quota. Pretending otherwise is sloppy. Pretending this was just “cutting red tape for travellers” is sloppier. You do not build a named campaign, parade presence, petition URL, and years of Punjabi-media hits around a route to one city in one Indian state unless you are courting one electorate in Brampton, Surrey, Calgary, and the suburban ridings Conservatives cannot win without.

If the defence is “Canada First,” the question writes itself. Why that city, that community, that banner, that petition? “Bring home the nurses” was the other half of the circuit. The second exhibit is the Blue Seal. In March 2023 the party put it on paper. Foreign-trained doctors and nurses already in Canada were being blocked by “gatekeepers.” The numbers cited: 34,105 foreign-trained nurses and 18,900 foreign-trained doctors not working in their profession. Only 37 percent of foreign-credentialed nurses were working as nurses. The fix was a national competency test, an answer in 60 days, and a certificate that would travel across provinces that signed on. Poilievre’s own language went further than “process the paperwork.”“I will put an end to this bureaucratic madness and bring home our doctors and nurses to help fix our broken healthcare system. My plan will ensure foreign-trained healthcare workers can easily work in Canada.”

He can hold both thoughts in one speech now — welcome the ones who contribute, license the doctors and nurses, and cap the numbers — because that is what a professional opposition does after the median voter moves.

You have to believe years of Filipino, Tamil, and Punjabi photo-ops around foreign-trained nurses are just health-care reform that happened to be filmed in banquet halls. You have to believe “the Conservative party is pro-immigration,” plus faster cooks from abroad, plus TFW-to-PR, was a temporary misunderstanding.

You have to believe the later “too many, too fast” turn was always the plan, merely waiting for the correct week to be announced.Or you can believe the ordinary thing: Pierre Poilievre is very good at finding the vote. In 2022 the vote he needed lived in ethnic media and suburban temples and festivals. By 2024 the vote he needed lived in the comments under every rental listing in Toronto and Vancouver. The generous version is coalition management. None of it proves every foreign-trained nurse should stay unlicensed while emergency rooms buckle. Canadians can want faster credentialling and lower inflows. Those are not opposites.

The question is narrower, and it is the one Harmony ducked.If the Conservative Party does not say yes to mass immigration, why did its leader spend the building years saying yes to the politics that produced it — faster foreign labour, faster family and community traffic to Punjab, faster professional entry sold community by community — and only discover the brake once the country was already screaming about rent?

A leader who does what is right whether or not it is popular would have told the 2022 radio audience the thing he tells rallies now: the pipeline was too wide, the colleges were a racket, the TFW program was eating entry-level jobs, and a direct flight is not a substitute for an integration policy.

He did not. He told that room what that room wanted. He told the next room what the next room wanted. That is not backbone. That is a weather vane with a petition link.

If you want the CPC line, Harmony already wrote it. If you want the file, it is all still online. Start with the Brampton banners, the Vaisakhi post, the Shere Punjab interview, and the party page that promised to bring the nurses home. Then read the 2024–26 speeches and ask what changed besides the polls.

They protest, they claim it’s unfair, and establishment politicians cave.Look at India, a democratic ally, yet claims have skyrocketed from 375 in 2015 to 17,180 last year. Why? Because they know they can play the system.The Liberals made it easy to be accepted as a refugee. They abandoned security checks. Canada is on A Path To Self-Destruction, Says PPC Leader, Maxime Bernier

Canada’s self-hating far left elites have for decades been denigrating our history, heritage, and culture.

Meanwhile, they’re allowing every foreign culture and ideology to take root here, when they’re not outright promoting them with public funds.

We had another good example of this over the weekend.

The City of Montreal (and others across the country) lets Muslim fanatics block streets and take over public parks to pray and promote their anti-Western religious ideology.

These arrogant invaders are even organizing regular prayers in front of the best-known and most beautiful church in Montreal, Notre-Dame.

No permit needed for that!

But what happens when an American Christian conservative singer wants to give a show?

The City denies him a permit because the far left mayor doesn’t like his political beliefs!

They even fined a church for hosting him!

How is it possible for such blatant censorship to happen in a supposedly free country?

Canada is on a path to self-destruction.

Unless we reverse course quickly, the distinct French-English Canadian identity that developed over the past four centuries will be too far gone to be rescued.

All the establishment parties are pandering to minority groups that want to establish their own parallel tribal societies.

But the PPC won’t be able to do anything unless more people stand up and join us.

People’s Party Was Right About Mass Immigration’s Effects on Housing Costs & Unemployment

Two studies appeared this week with results that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

They proved once again that the People’s Party was right about the negative impact of mass immigration – years before everybody!

According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), immigration caps are contributing to lower asking rents in Canada.

When you have millions of people coming to Canada who need housing, and demand for housing greatly exceeds the number of new houses and apartments that are built, prices and rents inevitably go up.

And when immigration levels go down, prices and rents will be lower.

This is just economics 101 of course!

But when I started saying this in 2018 after launching the PPC, all the woke commentators and journalists in the mainstream media said this was racist and far right!

Another study by the Conference Board of Canada concludes that wages are set to increase in Canada as immigration slows.

Duh!

Again, if you import cheap labour from abroad, wages will be depressed.

And when you import less of it, employers will be forced to offer higher pay to attract Canadian workers.

It’s crazy that this was seen as controversial by the whole political and media establishment until not long ago!

We criticize the government’s destructive policies and offer the best solutions, whether they are politically correct or not.

Wouldn’t Canadian politics be more rational if the PPC had more influence?

Pierre Poilievre keeps saying he wants a “carbon tax election”.

He considers scrapping the carbon tax his most important priority.



This in itself should tell you all you need to know about how unambitious he is and how disappointing a Poilievre government will be.

(Let alone the fact that he will simply replace the carbon tax with subsidies to “green” technologies and carbon capture in order to reach the Paris Accord targets, which he still supports.)

If that’s his priority, how can anyone expect him to adopt any of the bold policies that Canada needs?

  • He won’t cut back unsustainable spending.
  • He won’t repeal Trudeau’s laws and abolish Trudeau’s programs.
  • He won’t stop sending money for foreign wars.
  • He won’t send to jail the transgender industry monsters who mutilate our kids.
  • He won’t stop mass immigration and protect Canadian identity.

If he were serious about fixing Canada’s problems, Poilievre would call for a “mass immigration election”, given this is by far the biggest issue we face and it is literally destroying our country.

But he won’t because he’s just Trudeau lite.

Lavone, the whole country is fed up with Trudeau and yes, realistically, yes, it’s almost guaranteed that Poilievre will be the next prime minister.

But that makes it even more important for the People’s Party to have strong showing at the next election.

There must be a credible populist and patriotic opposition to the next Conservative government, not just a collection of globalist and socialist parties.

We must be there to keep Poilievre on his toes and offer a real alternative when Canadians are inevitably disappointed.

Statistics Canada announced this week that our country’s population has gone up by another million – after only nine months!

When the Liberals took power in 2015, Canada’s population was only 35 million.

How can we possibly integrate into our society, our economy, our housing market, our culture, the equivalent of Nova Scotia’s, or Saskatchewan’s population every few months?!?

Finance minister Chrystia Freeland is set to announce more irresponsible spending in her spring budget next month.

The Liberals will once again claim they’re doing this to help the middle class, and they will brag about being generous with our money.

But of course, they won’t be telling us how much more debt and future taxes this will bring.

And yet, we all know there’s a cheap, quick, and easy way to fix our most important economic problems:

Drastically cut the number of people entering Canada.

-It would lower demand for housing and allow construction to catch up and prices to go down.

-It would reduce pressure on healthcare, education, and other social services.

-It would lower business reliance on cheap foreign labour and force employers to hike wages to attract local workers.

-And it would encourage businesses to invest more in productivity improvements, which is the key to long-term growth.

-In short, it would undoubtedly benefit Canadians — actual Canadians living here and to whom this government is accountable, not the millions of new instant Canadians that it keeps bringing in.

So should we expect Chrystia Freeland to ask her colleague, the Immigration minister, to help her fix our economy?

Of course she won’t.

All the establishment politicians in Ottawa prefer to pander to immigrants rather than advocate for an easy solution that would cost nothing to improve the lives of Canadians.

Today I was in Bowmanville (ON) for a press conference with our amazing Durham by-election candidate, Patricia Conlin.

This press conference was an opportunity to introduce Patricia to the local and national media.

We also announced a new PPC policy on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

DEI is a fundamentally racist, sexist, and discriminatory ideology that divides Canadians, creates blatant injustices, and undermines social cohesion.

Under the pretext of promoting nice-sounding goals, it does the exact opposite: it imposes a uniform far-left perspective, and unfairly gives more rights to some, while excluding others who don’t fit in official categories of victims.

This hateful ideology holds that our culture and Western society is irredeemably racist, colonialist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and whatever new phobia or -ism they come up with next week!

We hear about new absurd examples of these programs almost every day.

Just a few weeks ago, we learned that the University of Waterloo wanted to hire two Research Chair positions in the Computer Science department.

The first position was only open to applicants “who self-identify as women, transgender, gender-fluid, non-binary, or Two-spirit”.

The second position was only open to applicants “who self-identify as a member of a racialized minority”.

If you’re straight or white, tough luck! The University of Waterloo doesn’t want you.

Our woke leaders do not believe in merit anymore. They undermine one of the key foundations of western civilization.

They tell us that “diversity” is more important than competence.

We see this everywhere in Canada and the West today.

The longer that this twisted agenda is in place, the more things will fall apart and cease to function.

Because decline is the only outcome when you prevent and penalize the most capable and meritorious.

A PPC government will take the following steps to expunge this toxic ideology from our society and country:

  • Abolish all federal DEI programs and policies in the public service and in federal institutions such as the Armed Forces, as well as those that apply to federally regulated industries.
  • Prohibit DEI training sessions in all federal institutions.
  • Remove all DEI clauses imposed on institutions, organisations, associations and businesses as a condition to obtain federal subsidies, grants, loans, scholarships, services, or contracts.
  • Stop funding groups that promote the DEI ideology.
  • In all legal proceedings, narrowly interpret section 15(2) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in a manner that proscribes reverse discrimination.
  • Support Canadians who are being discriminated against, harassed, vilified, or harmed in any way by organisations that impose DEI programs and policies.
